'Mer!' 'Jul!' We hug each other tightly. I need to tell her about that cute dog and our date and just a lot. Not everything, but like, 98 percent of what happened since the last time we spoke. Adi walks in as well and I give him a hug. I can feel Tal's eyes in my back. When Adi and Mer are in the living room already, Tal and I are left in the hallway.
'Is someone jealous? Do we have a little goblin?' I tease him. 'No, why would you think that?' He runs a hand through his hair. It's adorable as hell. I can see he's nervous. I give him a kiss on his cheek and walk to the living room as well. I am trying to ignore the fact that my entire body feels like it's on fire.
'Okay Julia, get your ass over here!' Meredith calls me from the kitchen. I laugh and follow my best friend. 'Are you two official yet?' 'That could be more subtle.' She looks at me sternly. She knows I'm trying to avoid the question slightly but at the same time I want to tell her everything. Not just 98 percent. I don't understand myself. Mer probably understands me better than I do so myself.
I sigh. 'Well, I guess so.' Meredith squeals of excitement. 'I knew it! I knew it!' I place my finger on my lips and she understands that maybe she shouldn't be that loud. We walk back to the guys who are sitting on my couch.
'Okay, since it's cloudy and I'm not going to put on something else to go outside, I suggest we'd make a pillow fort and just sit in there. Who's down?' I suggest. 'Me!' I hear my best friend shout. The guys agree as well.
A few minutes later, we have gathered all the pillows and blankets from the house. At least, all that we could find. I'm pretty sure we've got more than this. We start putting something together that might be stable enough to stay up for about an hour. That is our goal, at least.
We use the big cushions on the couch for walls and we decide to cheat. Our fort made with just pillows is collapsing again and again. I grab blankets and use those for a roof. Then we put all of the pillows in the fort. It's pretty big for a fort; we can just fit in with al four of us.
'Shall we watch a movie in our little structure?' I ask, pointing at the fort. 'Hell yeah!' Meredith exclaims. The guys just mumble a fine. I chuckle and Tal looks confused but smiles as well. Then we start to cram into the fort. Adi and Tal head in first, since they are taller. By a lot. When they are finally sort of comfortable, Meredith heads in and lastly, I go in. I first give my tablet to Meredith, so she can hold it for me. I  trust her with it. She opens Netflix while I am crawling in the fort. There is barely any room in here.
Meredith is laying against Adi and I decide to put my head against Tal's chest. His body tenses for a second, but then he relaxes. I can feel Meredith staring, but I don't care. This feels amazing. Tal wraps his arms around my waist. Who needs a blanket when you've got Tal's arms? I place my arms over his, so my arms can get some of the warmth from his arms as well. Halfway through the movie, Tal places his chin on my head. Gently, so he won't hurt me. It is adorable.
A few minutes later we pause the movie so we can get some snacks. Since I went in last, I have to go out first. I maneuver myself out of the fort. Tal follows me. Mer and Adi stay in the fort. I could have known. Tal doesn't want to third-wheel of course. I smile on my way to the kitchen. Apparently, Tal followed me quietly, because now I am trapped between his two arms and the counter. I look up into his beautiful eyes. I know there is no way I am getting out of here. I wouldn't want to, so it doesn't matter that much.
'What do you want?' I ask. 'Why would you ask that?' I raise one eyebrow at him. 'I know you want something from me.' 'Well, maybe I would like some one-on-one time with my girlfriend.' He emphasizes the word girlfriend. I chuckle. It sounds so good coming out of his mouth. I place my hands on the countertop and push myself up. Now I'm sitting on the countertop and I'm even a bit taller than him. That's new. Normally I'm the short one.
He puts a step closer to me. I smile. He is adorable. I've said that about two hundred times, but I don't care. It's the truth. I look down slightly so I can look into his eyes. I put my hands around his neck and he puts another step forward. I lean in and give him a soft peck on his cheek, close to his mouth. He grumbles. I give him another kiss on his cheek. Then his nose and his other cheek. He is getting frustrated. It's pretty damn hot. He is done after a few minutes of teasing and he grabs my jaw with his hand. Slightly rough, but not that rough it could ever hurt me. 'This is what I want from you, peach', he says, before he kisses me.
After a few minutes, I pull away and softly push him away on his chest. That way, I can have some room so I can jump off the countertop. And I do. Now I am shorter than him again. Too bad. I grab some snacks and want to head back to the living room. Mer and Adi must have been waiting for their snacks for a pretty long time now. I hope they don't mind. When close to the pillows, I hear giggles coming from the fort and change my mind. I'll just let them be. I think they'd prefer this time together over the snacks I was about to give them. It isn't gummy bears, Meredith's secret addiction and also weakness, so I guess I'll just let them do their own thing.
I turn around to head back in the kitchen to Tal, only to realize he followed me. While I turn around, I bump into him. I just hug him. He hugs me back and we stay like that for a few seconds. Then he lets me go. He is obviously checking me up and down. I grin and twirl for him.
'So, how do I look?' I ask as a joke with the grin still on my face. 'Cute.' He pecks me on my lips. I smile even wider.
'You're the best. I love it when you are being honest', I say. Honesty is pretty damn important to me. I've noticed that since... Since last the last time I trusted someone and it turned out they weren't trustable. I'm glad Tal is though. I do feel his muscles tense beneath his shirt. What's that supposed to mean?
