Meredith and Adi are dating now, and I think they are adorable together. Adi is really cute to her and once he randomly bought her flowers and he put said flowers on her porch. The bad news is that it feels like I lost Meredith a bit. She is always talking about Adi. So I invited her to my house to hang out.

'Mer?' I ask after sitting on the couch and doing nothing for a while. 'What?' 'We should go to that new movie sometime. You wanted to see it very badly, right?' She grabs an apple from the fruit bowl and looks at it before taking a bite. 'Yeah we definitely should go. Are you ok with it if Adi will come too? He said he wanted to see the movie as well. I'm not going to invite him if you don't want to', she said. I look at the ground.

'Sounds good! When shall we go? Friday?' I suggest. I don't sound very enthusiastic though. 'Friday is fine by me. I'll text Adi, wait a minute.' She grabs her phone from her pocket and starts to text. I see her smile at her phone while she texts Adi and I realize I am not just afraid of losing her, but I am also actually pretty jealous of her relationship. I mean, just look at them! Who wouldn't want to be that cute with someone?

I sigh and grab a random book to read before I go sit on the couch. Meredith looks up from her phone and asks if Saturday is ok as well, I nod, not looking up from my book. 'At what time does the movie start?' I ask her, still not looking up. 'At 6.30 PM or 8.15 PM. Shall I buy tickets for Saturday at 8.15? Then we could eat together somewhere first. Like, us two.' 'Fine by me', is my answer.

Meredith walks to the couch where I am sitting and sits down next to me. I look up. 'Are you sure you are ok with Adi coming as well? Because if you're not I'll just watch the movie twice or whatever', she says while looking me in the eyes. 'No, no it's totally fine', I say and I close my book. She opens her mouth to say something, then doesn't and just gives me a big hug. 'You know we're still best friends, right?' I just nod. 'You don't look very happy. Let's go shopping. Shopping cheers you up, come on!' I smile. Shopping does cheer me up when we go together, and Meredith knows it.

Two hours later I've bought a new dress, a skirt, and two cute shirts. Meredith got two dresses and a pair of cute shorts. We're pretty tired so we decide we need a cup of iced coffee. We order one at Starbucks.

After we ordered and got our coffee, we managed to get a table outside in the sun and make a picture of it because we are very basic. Then we just simply stare at everyone that walks by. They seem to get really uncomfortable and it's very funny to watch them becoming uncomfortable because of us.

All of a sudden a group of three guys walks up to us. We just politely smile at them and then continue our little game, ignoring them. Apparently, the guys want more attention.

'Hey girl', one of them says. He's got blond hair and blue eyes and he could be considered pretty handsome. He probably knows that all too well.

'Which one?' I ask while sipping my iced coffee. 'Both of you', another guy says. He has got brown hair and blue eyes. I think he and blond-haired-guy are more dominant because the other one stays in the back a bit. He seems to just be watching.

'Well, how can we help you? You could help us by leaving.' I am already done with these guys. Their ego is a tiny bit too big. 'You could help me by giving me your number', brown-haired guy says, completely ignoring my request. 'Which one?' Meredith asks. 'You, the blond-haired ray of sunshine. Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? We would make adorable blonde babies,' blond-haired guy says adding a wink.

I nearly laugh at his attempt at flirting. He failed horribly. 'Sorry, you made the wrong pick, I'm already taken', Meredith says and she makes a perfect hair-flip and then takes a sip of her coffee. She mastered the hair-flip, she's a pro. It comes in handy in times like this.

'You were my first pick', brown-haired guy says to me. 'Sure I was. Can you leave, please? I am quite tired of you.' These guys are really getting on my nerves. I don't like this.

'Nah, you're too cute to leave. But aren't you tired? 'Cause you've been running round my mind all day', he tries. I laugh sarcastically and he looks at his friends like he won their competition or something that was going on. They must have never heard of the concept sarcasm as they surely can't detect it. 'Can I have your number then?' he asks, trying to play it cool. I am so done with this kid.

I decide to leave him in his dream for just one more second. I grab my bags and stand up. Meredith gets the clue and is collecting her stuff as well.

I stand up on my toes since he is a bit taller than me. 'Your pickup lines from Google aren't really working and as I already requested twice; leave us the hell alone. We are not really interested in your bullshit', I whisper in his ear.

Then I smile sweetly like nothing ever happened and I walk away, leaving him confused and leaving him with his group behind me. Meredith quickly catches up and gives me a high-five. She heard every word that I said. Then we both laugh and walk back home.
