Gabbriel never really stayed up late or slept in late. She always went to bed at a certain time - even if she wanted to stay up all night - and she never woke up later then 10 in the morning. Her job was to make sure Gajeel woke up and got sleep that night - even though she was the younger sibling.
So you could understand why Gajeel woke up that morning and was confused. It was dead silent in their apartment - which Makarov managed to give to them. There wasn't the smell of food in the air and the shower wasn't running.
He grunted slightly as she got up and stumbled towards his twin's room. The door was closed, meaning that she was still asleep. Gabbriel never closed her door unless she was asleep or changing. Gajeel pressed his ear to the door - not hearing her sister getting dressed - before opening the door as slowly as he could so it wouldn't make a sound.
His confusion turned into surprise as he saw his younger sister tangled in sheet and still asleep. Gajeel furrowed his metal studs as he walked over to Gabbey, shaking her slightly.
"Gabbey. . .Come on Gabbey, it's time to wake up."
The raven-haired girl twitched before shooting up, breathing heavily. Gajeel's confusion came back as he noticed the noticeable bags under her eyes, her greasy hair sticking to her face, and how her pillow had small sweat spots.
"Sorry. . .Sorry," Gabbey panted lightly, slumping down. "What time is it?"
Gajeel glanced out the window and shrugged slightly. "Looks to be about noon." The twins were silent for a moment before Gabbriel got up and stretched.
"Didn't realize I slept in that late. Sorry, bro - I'll make breakfast after my shower then we can go to the guild."
"No, no," Gajeel stood up, putting a hand on Gabbriel's shoulder to stop her from moving. "You go take a shower as long as you want, I'll make breakfast. I need to work on my cooking skills anyways." The two chuckled before Gabbey tilted her head.
"You sure? I can make breakfast if you really want me too."
"I got this." Gajeel reassured. "Besides, maybe at the guild we can get some cherries. I know how much you love cherries."
Gabbriel smiled brightly and nodded, sending her grateful emotion towards her brother through the bond. "Alright. That sounds great."

The two of them completely ignored the glares they got as they entered the guild hall - though the glares have slowed down to where a couple people where glaring. Not that the two cared - they've only been here for five days now.
Gabbriel slumped down as she sat at their table - putting her head on the hardwood. The guild was completed two days ago - so a cool breeze only came through when the door was opened and/or windows.
The black-haired girl jumped up as a bowl of cherries were sat in front of her. Her tired red eyes look up to her brother as he stared at her.
"Are we going to talk about it?" He asked in a hushed tone - one that only Dragon Slayers could hear.
"I've just been having trouble sleeping, that's all." Gabbriel shrugged, taking a cherry off the pile and plopping it into her mouth - the stem hang out of her mouth.
"Yeah, cats fly, too." Gajeel replied sarcastically, pulling at the bond with worry. "Come on. . .Uh, what's eating at you?"
"Eh. . ." Gabbriel hummed uncertainly as she spat out the stem and picked up another one. "I. . .I'm just kinda afraid that if I sleep, this will be like a dream."
