Chapter 12
She watched as Élan spoke to Adolf. The two spoke as good friends. Especially when they knew each other for as long as one another could remember. They stared into the old book Élan had brought. The same Adriana had seen before her mother had left.
The way Adolf and Élan spoke to one another showed potential. But they just spoke of the upcoming events for herself. Sense that's what they usually discuss of. For once Adriana wished it wasn't about herself. She was able to hear their voices from where she say.
"The Pawnee must need Adriana to return. Sense she may be the reincarnation of Chelan. As of what Chogan has explained."
"Yes but with her Beast her tempts of being a Pawnee will change. Especially when her wolf genes are mixed with two different kinds."
"Akilla told me that Adriana should be able to access both her Pawnee blood and the Beast blood."
Adriana sat on the staircase as Judy, Élan, and Adolf talked. All not noticing her presence. She took a swig of her third can of beer, not at all fazed. Knowing that her wolf genes will protect her. Inside she felt a little worthless that no one would ask her for what she felt. Or if she had any idea of the situation. Instead they all do whatever.
'Why the hell won't anybody ask about my decisions?' Adriana wondered quite pissed off. Wishing she could hear Beast's clever word play.
Standing up, Adriana walks up the stairs. Not wanting to hear anymore of what they were discussing of.
'Why Are You Down, Child?'
Adriana didn't bother answering Chelan. She just silently shut her door closed. Locking the door quietly. She lays down on her back. Staring up at the ceiling. "No one wants to know what I feel. No one is asking me my ideas or feelings." Adriana said under her breath.
Closing her eyes and trying to calm her mind. 'Sometimes You Have To Accept It.' Chelan replied. "That helps." Adriana mumbles sarcastically.
'Adriana! You Shouldn't Be Sarcastic At A Time Like This!'
"I'm sorry!"
Adriana mentally rolled her eyes at Chelan. Missing Beast so much at the moment. "I want to be alone. Where's Beast?" Adriana asked. The sound of silence didn't amuse her. "Chelan?" Adriana asked worriedly. Still she wouldn't reply.
Standing up from her bed. She walks up to her mirror. Remembering she could see Beast's reflection when she looks into her mirror. Once she looks into the mirror, a gasp escaped her lips at the reflection. For the reflection wasn't herself. Instead it was a completely different woman.
Her hair was the same color. But her hair was shorter and layered. Her brown eyes were replaced with forest green eyes. A scar ran across her cheek. Yet the reflection was so beautiful. The clothes in her reflection was replaced with a deer skin dress.
The look of her made Adriana stare. Not knowing what to say. Not even was able to think. Her breath was caught in her throat.
'W-Who is this!?" Adriana thought.
'You Are Looking At Me.'
'You! We look the same!'
'Indeed, We Are Related More Than By Blood. You Are My Descendant.'
Adriana became silent once she heard those words. Wondering why she was now being told this. Some of their features didn't match. She just continued to gawk at her reflection.
'Well You Are A Part Of Me. And I Am A Part Of You.'
