Chapter 5
'Damn I wish I could skip school. But Aunt Bryanna would just glare at me with those eyes of hers!! I hope Adriana is alright. . .'
'Never worry for the one you love. Knowing she can take care of herself.'
Sitting bored in the classroom. Barely listening to the teacher and the lecher he was giving. Orion struggles to not fall asleep. He rolls his head to the side. Now completely ignoring the subject.
His mind went to Adriana. The tattoo on her stomach still on his mind. Wondering what exactly that tattoo had meant. Remembering how it slowly changes from the face of the wolf into a full body. Marks all over on its body.
The words from his Wolf Side echoed in his mind. Knowing that he was right. Looking down at his pocket. His hand reached inside and grabbed a small box. A small smile appeared on his lips.
A slip of paper appeared below his elbow. Knocking Orion out of his thoughts. Looking down at the parchment. Orion notices Mack's handwriting on it.
Curious, Orion unfolds the parchment. Quickly hiding it under his notebook. He drifts his eyes down and reads the letter.
'Wanna go hunting later?' was all it read. Orion fought the chuckle from escaping his lips. He tilted his head to the right and looked at his friend. Seeing Mack was staring bored at the teacher. He felt Orion's gaze and looks at him.
'Luckily this is a half day, right?' Mack whispered. Rolling his eyes, Orion looked back at the teacher. Seeing he was still droning on and on. Not knowing anyone wasn't paying attention to his listen.
'Yeah, and sure. We can go hunting after school.' Orion whispered back. Seeing as his friend smirk. Mack looks back at the teacher. The smile in his eyes faded immediately.
Finally, the sound of the bell rung. Sighing in relief, Orion packed his things. Standing up from his seat. He leaves the classroom.
"I'll meet yah in the forest. Gonna meet Fawn at her locker." Mack said as he passed Orion at the doorway. Earning a small whistle from Orion. Making Mack blush a little. Then he quickly walked off.
Walking down the hallway. Orion was met by many loud human teenagers. All were happy school was already done. Their happiness made him smile. But it soon faded once his eyes met his human enemy. Jake Marx, the same quarterback that he fought three years ago. Facing him to show Adriana he cared for her.
Jake noticed him and glared daggers. His blue eyes reflecting red. Orion just rolled his eyes and turned to his locker. He hits it with his fist and then twisted the lock. Having it simply popped open. An amused smirk appeared on his lips.
'So shortly I'll graduate. Then away from that ass.' Orion thought relieved. He pats the pocket that held the small, mystery box.
Wolf senses suddenly going off. Orion ducked down in time to dodge a fist. The fist flying into his locker. Actually creating a dent. Spinning around and grabbing the fist. Looking at the owner and finding it was Jake. A low growl rumbled in his chest. Knowing exactly what was going to happen.
"Again with another fight?" Orion asked. Cocking up a red eyebrow. A smirk appearing once Jake growled. "I'm going to defeat you this time! You've embarrassed me way too much!" Jake shouted. Causing much more eyes to look at them than they already were.
Glaring at Jake's determined face. Orion stood straight. Towering Jake by three inches. His eyes nearly changed color. But he fought over it.
"Hey Jake!" shouted Andrea's voice. The sound of her voice made Orion smile. Knowing his cousin will handle the human.
Looking around for her. Jake found Andrea behind her. A dark look on her face. The same one she gives to people when she is pissed off. But this one glare terrified everyone who saw it. She reaches forward and snatches Jake's neck.
A gasp escaped his lips once he felt Andrea grasp his neck. Jake swung a punch. She simply help up her arm and blocked the punch. The look of pain shunned in his eyes. Showing that he was given great pain from punching her arm. For wolves' human skin is tougher than regular humans.
Orion continued to smirk at his enemy's luck. Being beaten by his younger cousin. "Once again you are beaten by my cousin." Orion comments. Giving Andrea a smile. Which she returns. He saw he was given a glare by Jake.
Finally letting go of his neck. Andrea backs away from the human. Not wanting to murder him. Orion held up his hand and was given a high five. Looking back down at Jake. Watching as he gasped for air. His face as red as a tomato.
"Have fun with those bruise marks." Orion said as he walked away from Jake. Walking through the large crowd of kids. Andrea at his side. All of them staring at Andrea awestruck. Not believing at her power.
The two walked out of the school and headed toward the forest. Seeing two of their pack mates already waiting for them. "So when are you going to ask her?" Andrea suddenly asked. Shocking Orion completely. He looks at his cousin. Finding her looking at him. A curious look on her face.
Orion sighed and looked back ahead of him. Continuing on walking toward his friends. "I honestly don't know if I should." His words earned a hard punch in the pack. A grunt of pain escaping his lips. Snapping his head to the side. Glaring angrily at Andrea. His glare returned by her.
"Don't be afraid. I don't want to be related to a chicken!"
"I'm not a chicken! Just thinking of the perfect time to ask her. . ." Orion spoke as he took out the small box. Flipping it open to look inside. . .
