The Fall

Chapter 17

Adriana nearly collapsed when she stared at her father. There he was. Her abusive, supposedly in prison father. Right there in front of her. In place where the last Serpent Lupus was suppose to be.

He was covered in cuts and scars. The clothes he wore all torn up. Michael looked like he hadn't slept in days. Even still had the cuts from the attack from Adolf and Orion.

"Missed me?"

Adriana nearly faltered when she heard him speak. He had the same voice. Except it was much angrier and much darker. Full of hate toward her. Adriana didn't know if she should even battle him. Knowing how angry and powerful he may be.

He Is No Longer Your Father.

I never considered him as my father!

"How did you escape prison?" Adriana asked in anger. She balled her hands to fists. Her long claws sinking deep into her palms. The familiar scent of her blood drifting to her nose. "I'm on parol now for good behavior." Michael said with a sneer.

Adriana kept a straight face as she stared at her father. Seeing how his sneer showed the lies. He faked about being good and knowing his lesson. But that didn't rid the question how he was a Serpent Lupus. "Sense when were you a Hell Hound? I never smelt that scent on you." she said.

"A visitor came one day. He gave me an offer for when I got out of that rathole. That he gives me the immortality of a Serpent Lupus, if I kill you. I effortlessly agreed. I wanted to rid the world of you!"

The last sentence was full of hate. Adriana just wanted to wipe that smirk off her father's face. No! Killing Him Won't Help Anything! Cursing at Chelan's words. She turned away from looking at Michael. "You've hated me before mom left. Just because you wanted a son. If it weren't for your attitude, mom wouldn't have left you!" Adriana just wanted to hurt him in any way possible!

Finding herself slammed hard against the ground. Adriana felt her head shake when she felt her head hang. She was able to see the water bellow. Her heart immediately began to speed up. Adriana looked up back at Michael. Seeing how angry he looked.

"Get off me before I rip your arms and legs off." Adriana threatened. She glared up at her father. Her anger growing more and more. Adriana saw how Michael wanted to kill her. But for some reason he wouldn't even do it. Maybe the father inside him was fighting. Maybe he actually loved her.

Adriana snarls and kicks him hard. Sending him flying. Quickly, she got back up. She saw how furious Michael looked. Standing back up to his feet. Michael suddenly took out a knife. The same knife Lush had used on her.

A panic look appeared in her eyes for a second. But she shook it off. If she showed fear Michael would use it against her. Adriana readies herself for the worst. Readying her claws.

Michael Is Trying To Find A Way To Attack. Though Knowing You Don't Have Much Weaknesses.

Well he won't succeed!

Suddenly, the ground bellow her collapsed. A scream didn't escape Adriana's lips. She saw Michael lunge forward. As if trying to catch her. But Adriana knew he would just kill her.

As she fell Adriana saw everything fly by her. Never has she fallen down the cliff. Only across. Adriana looked what was ahead of her. The river was coming up fast. Knowing she would feel immense pain. Adriana braces herself for the pain.

Am I gonna die?

Chelan didn't reply to that thought. As if she knew the answer and didn't want to say anything. So Adriana guessed she was about to die. Tears began to fall Adriana's eyes. If she dies, everything she had to do would be a waste. And she wouldn't get to answer Orion's question.

The cold water hit her like lightning. Pain in her head spread through her like wildfire. Adriana kept her mouth closed when she tried to scream. Knowing that she would drown. Rocks scraped and hit her skin hard. The feeling of her blood began fall.

The pain was becoming unbearable. Adriana didn't know if she could move her arms to swim.

Orion, if I die. I wanted to say that, yes, I will marry you.

Adriana then closes her eyes. The pain in her lungs taking over her. Water filling her lungs.
