Will You Marry Me?

Chapter 14

Orion tried to ignore Slade's loud cries of pain. For a day straight he has been screaming bloody murder. Deafening all animals from a miles' radius. Especially the pack. By now all of them had earplugs in their ears. Even his own mother.

He covers his ears in pain and tried to ignore the cries. The cries were muffled a little as he covered his ears. Digging the palm of his hands into his ears. Hoping to deafen some of the crying pain. Then he heard a woman's voice loudly. Obviously his mother's voice. Wanting Slade to try and calm down.

Tensing when he hears Slade scream in a bad language. Making Orion's eyes widen at his choice of words. Not knowing how his friend knew those words. Then he heard Patrisha's voice mixing in with his words. Some words were bad words as well. Some of the words Orion didn't even know.

Slowly letting go of his ears. Orion listened carefully. Hearing no more sounds. 'Please Slade, be alright.' Orion begged in his mind. Feeling tears threatening to fall. It had already been a day sense Adriana and Orion had found Slade injured. Orion was too confused. Wondering how Adriana knew about the creature that attacked Slade. She acted like she knew about them for years. The look in her eyes showed she was different when she spoke of them.

'How did she know about those so called Hell Hounds!'

Thinking deeply. Wondering why Adriana acted so different. The sound in her voice sounded wiser. As if it wasn't Adriana who spoke. Like someone else had spoke for her.

Once thinking that. Orion remembered what Adriana had said. Remembering how she said Beast was no longer in her mind. But instead was another voice. When Adriana spoke, was that actually that Voice?

Laying down on his bed. Orion thought deeply. When will be the right time to ask Adriana? I love her, and I don't want to lose her. Gripping his left pocket. Feeling the inside and feeling the small box in his pocket.

Orion jumps when he suddenly hears a knock at the door. Quickly standing up from his bed. Slowly walking up to the door. He smelt closely to the scent of the other side. But the scent was covered with blood.

Orion opened his door to see Adriana at the other side. Her raven black hair had some blood in it. A cut ran across her left cheek.

"Hey."

"What happened?"

Adriana sighs and stood there. Orion quickly stepped aside for his girlfriend to enter. A look of embarrassment on his face. She enters his room calmly. Acting like she didn't see the look of embarrassment on his face.

Closing the door behind him. He turns to look at Adriana. Seeing she was now sitting on his bed. A plain look on her face. Which he knew meant something was wrong. "What happened?" Orion repeated worriedly. He walks up to her and sat down next to her. Adriana leans in and laid her head on his shoulder. "I flung a beer bottle at my mirror. . ."

Her words silenced Orion completely. Why would she do that?

Wrapping his arms around his mate. Orion pulled her closer to his chest. Wanting to smell her sweet scent. Hoping to have her with him forever. "How come?" Orion whispered in her ear. Feeling how she shivered in his arms. "I. . .saw something in the mirror." Adriana spoke slowly. Sounding like she didn't want to talk about it. So Orion didn't want to push her in saying anything else.

He kisses the top of her forehead. "Are you alright?" Orion said. Adriana looked up at him. Her eyes shined brightly. "Yes I'm fine. Just a little shaky." she admitted. Orion looked even more worried. "Lay down." Orion ordered calmly.

Adriana just nods and lays down. Her hair spreading out. Orion couldn't help but smile down at her. He lays down next to her. Wrapping his arms around her waist. Keeping her close to him.

The two laid there close to each other. Adriana's scent filled Orion's nose. Some of the scent was filled with blood. It worried him deeply. Not knowing where she had gotten cut. He stares down at Adriana's face. Finding that she had fallen asleep.

Completely deadpanned, Orion stared at her wide eyed. Shocked that a girl could pass out that fast. But then he began to chuckle. Orion got a little closer to her face. Then he licks the cut in her cheek. Ending up with a sudden punch in the stomach.

Grunting in pain. Orion backed away from her face. Looking at Adriana stunned. Stunned that she had punched him. Adriana was staring sleepily at him. "Was that necessary?" Orion asked while rubbing his chest. "I have reflexes when I sleep." Adriana said like it was nothing. While Orion stared at her.

"You have strange reflexes." Orion states as he lays his head back down on the pillow. Looking into Adriana's eyes.

Suddenly, he remembers the question he had been dying to ask Adriana for weeks now. Orion reaches for her hand. Grabbing it firmly in his large hand. "Orion?" Adriana asks confused. Not knowing what he was doing.

"Adriana, I have been meaning to ask you something for awhile now." Orion said as he gets off his bed. Reaching into his pocket, reaching to grab the box. Adriana sits up into a sitting position. "What do you mean?" she asked.

Orion got down on one knee. The box gripped tightly in his hand. "Adriana Hazel Coleman," he began with a smile. Adriana blushes when he uses her entire name.

"I really love you, I know that you have a lot on your mind right now. But I can't stop thinking about you when I think you're hurt. When you came into my life, everything lighted up. I was never happy after my parents' death. And you helped me get over it without even trying. I love you so much I can't describe it.

Adriana Hazel Coleman, will you marry me?"

After those words escaped Orion's lips. He opens the box and exposes a beautiful ring. There were three diamonds on the ring. The ones on the side were smaller than the middle. Which was much bigger.

Adriana stared completely shocked at the ring. A look of amazement and shock was on her face.
