Chapter 16

Adriana's legs dangled from where she sat on the cliff. Her eyes staring into nothingness. She stared deep into the water deep below. Her mind deep in her thoughts.

Orion asked me to marry him? This is the most challenging thing to decide!

Laying down on the soft grass around her. She takes in a deep breath. Trying to clear out her mind. Opening her eyes and looking up at the sky. The sky was grey and the sun wasn't anywhere.

Pain was all over her arms and legs. The cuts and bruises covered her arms. Patrisha and Brynna didn't heal her. They didn't even know she was hurt. With her nature they thought it was nothing.

You Can Decide Once The Hell Hounds Are Defeated. . .

Adriana growled once she heard Chelan's voice. She bared her fangs together. Missing Beast's presence so much.

The wind blew and drifted a scent to her nose. Or scents. Adriana sniffs the air and smelt a scent she recognized.

Hell Hounds.

Slowly standing back up. Balancing herself so she wouldn't fall down into the ravine. Adriana smelt the air again and smelt the Hell Hounds behind her. Don't Make It Look Obvious. Nodding to her great-great-great grandmother's words. Adriana turned around and began to walk off.

Suddenly, four massive Hell Hounds bursted through the tree line. Adriana spun around in time to see how fast they were heading toward her. The sound of their hissing skin hurt her ears like a cat clawing a chalk board.

Dodging the Hell Hounds' claws by ducking. Adriana quickly sprinted forward and tries to get away. But she knew she could endanger her friends. So she stops and turns back around. Her claws growing long and turning black. The Hell Hounds stared back at her. All looking hungry to kill her.

The one in the middle immediately advanced on her. Taking form of a human. Adriana stared at the now human Hell Hound. It's skin was dark, cuts and scars were all over its skin. The clothes it wore were torn up. As if the person came from an explosion.

Adriana breaks out running and headed straight toward the Hound.

In a blink of an eye the two had blood splatter the ground. Adriana sank her teeth into the Hound's arm in a blink of an eye. Was able to jump back in time and keep herself from being attacked. The Lupus's howls echoed across the forest. Nearly piercing Adriana's ears like needles.

Blood ran down her bottom lip. The taste of skin was on her teeth. But it didn't bother Adriana. Instead she loved it.

Licking her lips. Tasting how sweet the blood tasted now.

Adriana?

Ignoring Chelan's worried voice. Adriana advanced and shape shifted into wolf form. She pounced in the air and attacked the human Hound. Sinking her teeth deep into its back as hard as she could. Tasting the delicious blood of it. A cry escaped the Hound's lips. It tried to rip her off. But it was no use.

Adriana was tackled off by the two other Hell Hounds. She saw how furious they now looked. Adriana gave them a wolfish smirk and bolted back up. Attacking the one to the left. Feeling her wolf side aching for the taste of blood. No longer was she able to hold her humanity!!

ADRIANA!

She pierced her teeth into the Hell Hound's neck. The snakes on its skin hissed and bit her. But it didn't affect her. She didn't even wince or cry.

Pulling and slashing with all her might. The blood from the snakes and the Hound splattered all over her. Adriana felt the life from the Hound leave. She finally let's go and let the Hell Hound drop to the ground.

Looking at the last Hell Hound. Her body froze when she saw it was now human. Except the human was someone she knew.

Her father. . .
