Chapter 14

Orion bursted through the doors with force. Nearly sending the doors flying off their hinges. Not that he cared about them. He quickly ran off into the hospital. Searching for Adriana's scent.

His mind kept replaying when he was first told of what happened.

~ Pacing through the living room. Orion was worried when Adriana hadn't come over. Not even speak a word. He was beginning to panic.

Orion, calm down. I'm sure she is fine." Bryanna said as encouragingly as possible. But Orion wouldn't listen. He instead continued pacing. "I'm worried. I asked her to marry me and she said she would come to give me my answer when she was ready! And now we can't find her!"

Suddenly, the door bursted open and exposed Adolf with a girl. The girl was pretty and young. She looked about Andrea's age. Her hair was a deep red. A scar ran down her left cheek. Not that it covered her beauty.

The scent upon her was unusual, but her aura was something they were all familiar of.

A Reaver.

Andrea and Mack got up and were ready to attack. Before any could, Adolf put a protect arm around the Reaver. "She's not going to hurt us! She's good!" he said, hoping to reason with them,

Many people turned to look at him. But he didn't pay any attention to them. He just continued running. His nose in the air. Sniffing out Adriana's scent.

Finally, he smelt Adriana. As well has Élan, Judy, and Chogan.

A growl escaped his lips once he smelt Chogan. He treated Chogan like how he treated Adolf. With hatred and jealousy. But his thoughts were clouded with worry. Knowing his mate was in a coma.

Orion walked up to Adriana without saying anything. He grabbed her hand and held it tightly. Seeing how she wouldn't move. Not even a jolt. Adriana just laid there motionless. Her slow steady breath in was all he heard.

"Do you know what happened?" Orion asked Élan. He looked over at her and saw how sad she looked. "All they are saying is she fell down a cliff and into the water." Élan said, trying to stop her tears. Orion felt like crying himself. Seeing the love of his life in a deep coma.

He looked at Chogan again. The way Chogan looked was sad. Chogan looked like he had seen a war or a murder. His eyes showed distance.

"Is something on your mind?" Orion asked lowly. He let go of Adriana's hand and walked up to Chogan. "I failed my tribe leaders. I also failed Akilla. I promised him that I'd keep her safe. But I failed." Chogan looked up at Lucas. Showing how guilty and sad he looked.

"You didn't fail them."

Orion and Chogan turned around to look at Judy. She had her arms crossed and looked rather serious. The same way Orion remembered her when he first met her. "Adriana is alright. Just in a coma. With her Navajo side she should be able to heal quickly." Judy patted Chogan's shoulder. Giving him an encouraging smile. "You should rest sweetie. You look like you haven't slept in days."

Looking over the wolf warrior. He did indeed like he hasn't slept. Orion was beginning to worry for Chogan. Seeing how tired he looked but wouldn't admit it. "I agree, I'll watch over Adriana for you." Orion said to him. Chogan stared at him but nodded. He stood up and walked out with Judy.

Adriana suddenly moved in her sleep. His head snapped toward her direction. Orion slowly moved to touch her.

Before his hand touched her, Adriana's hand shot up. Snatching his hand. Orion had to bite back a startled yelp. He knew Adriana had reflexes. Some when she was asleep startled him. And he has the marks to prove it.

"O....Orion." Adriana suddenly said in her sleep. Staring at her sleeping face in shock. Orion didn't know if he should reply. "Are you there." Adriana spoke again. That's when he knew she was talking in her sleep. She wanted to know he was there. "I'm here, love." Orion whispered.

A faint smile came to her lips. Her eyes didn't open but Orion could tell she wanted too. "Are you alright?" Orion said as he took her hand. Rubbing the top of her hand. Noticing that the veins on her hand were now black. It didn't affect him. Knowing that every transformation for wolves would cause their veins to turn black.

She nodded her head in response. She winced when she moved her neck. Orion noticed that there were multiple bruises on her neck. Causing the pain in her neck.

"I will." Adriana suddenly said. Orion was completely confused. What did she mean? He blinks a few times, wondering what she had meant. "What?" Orion asked.

"I will marry you."

The four words she used made Orion freeze. The four words that he was waiting to hear. Lucas smiled and leaned down. He kisses Adriana's pale lips. Which she responded.
