The sound of ringing bells fills the air.
"He's here!" Tiffany exclaims, exiting her room with a purple dress, "you stay out of the way until after our dance, alright?"
"Sounds fair to me," I lie, already trying to plan some way to nab the wand so Moon will stop hunting down Comet.
"Great," Tiffany replies, "see you later."
Tiffany dissapears around the corner, eager to see Comet. I follow close behind just out of sight...
The carriage touches down on the ground floor of The Underworld. "Well," I get up, the pink glow fades, "I gotta go. See ya later Marcie."
"Why don't I come with you?" Marcie asks.
"Well," I explain, "Tiffany can be a bit... possessive. I mean, bringing my best friend to meet my girlfriend... not the smartest move here. I'm sure you understand."
"Yeah," Marcie sighs, "I guess. Have fun."
"Thanks," I smile, "I'll see you back on Earth."
I exit the carriage.
"Hey Comet!" Tiffany hugs me, causing the pink glow, but it's not as bright as before for some reason, I can't shake thoughts about Marcie from the back of my mind, lingering there, "how's Earth?"
"Great!" I reply, "like, haven't needed an anger bunny, great."
"I'm glad that Earth's helping you feel better," Tiffany smiles, "come on! This only happens once every 667 years!"
Tiffany grabs my hand, eagerly, and we dash towards the ball...
The two run off towards the ball together. I prepare to follow them, but then I notice the door on the carriage open as it begins to ascend and a girl in an orange dress exits te carriage, landing on the ground gracefully.
"Who are you?" I ask, approaching her.
"My name's Marcie," the girl extends her arm, "I'm a friend of Comet's."
"You know Comet?" I ask.
"Yeah," Marcie replies, "why do you ask?"
"Because," I explain, "he's my brother..."
With no hesitation, Marcie grabs my arm and flips me, holding my arm behind my back.
"You've got some explaining to do about how you've treated him!" She growls twisting my arm.
"Ow ow!" I yell, "calm down! It wasn't me! It was all Moon and River! Moon's gonna kill him if I don't find him first!"
"Why should I trust you?" Marcie demands, beginning to crack my arm, any further, and it's gonna snap.
"Because I didn't hate him, he hated me!"
"What?"
"You think Comet and I don't get along because I'm a jerk? He's always hated me. I tried to be nice, but all he did was mumble about 'birthrights' and glare whenever he saw me. He constantly had this off green glow. Like... nevermind. Look, I'm not your enemy here. I'm here to help."
"You wanna help?" Marcie asks, "then leave, and tell your wretched mom that Comet has a new family now, and a new princess."
"And who might that last one be?"
Marcie blushes.
"OK," she sighs, "maybe not that last part, but still, leave."
"Fine," I sigh, "I'll go."
Marcie lets go of my arm, and I get up.
"And for the record," I glare, "I'll forgive you this time, considering Comet and I's rocky past, but pull this again and I will not take it lieing down."
I swipe Marcie's hair pin as I open a portal. I know just how to find where Comet is hiding. I head to Mr. Henious's School for Unworthy Princes..."
