"And that's how you kill a wild boar with nothing but your bare hands," I finish the story.

"Weren't you a prince?" Jim asks, "it's not like you had to hunt."

"I kinda did," I explain, "when I escaped from... the place, Moon and River just didn't care. I wasn't allowed to eat anything of Star's and everything on the table was Star's, so I hunted, and got my own food. I'd usually eat at Tiffany's place after I met her, but there was a gap where I had to fend for myself, or die trying."

"Out of curiosity," Johnson inquires, "how did Tiffany take the break up?"

"Horribly," I reply, "she's called me so many times."

"How many?" Jim inquires.

"Once every hour, on the hour, until I blocked her," I explain, "she's so possessive."

"Sounds that way," Jim replies, "but I think you should at least hear her out."

"She could literally offer me her kingdom and I'd still say no," I retort.

"Dang," Johnson asks, "do you have no chill?"

"I've always been on edge," I reply, "ever since..."

I scratch the burning itch on my left elbow again, and decide to avoid the subject.

"Nevermind," I sigh, "what do I do about Marcie?"

"She strike first?" Johnson asks.

"Oh yeah," I reply, "she hit first, and she hit hard."

"I've never seen her act like that," Jim explains, "even after I stole her wallet."

"I find that hard to believe," Johnson adds, "I mean... it just sounds wrong."

"It's true," I reply, "100%. She was out of control. I had to break up the fight. Totally ruined the Blood Moon Ball. I dumped Tiffany, but I don't talk to Marcie much either."

Jim and Johnson exchange a look. "And she won't tell you why?" Jim inquires.

"Nope," I reply, "won't say it. I don't get it. She attacked my girlfriend, the only person who stood by me back on Mewni, for no reason."

The two exchange the look again, and smile as if they know something I don't.

"What's with that grin?" I demand.

"Nothing," Jim replies, "nothing at all."

"Well," I grab a fry from a box of fries on the table and toss it into my mouth, "what should I do?"

"I dunno," Johnson replies, "Did she do anything... odd before the fight? Say anything?"

"Something about how Tiffany won while she lost," I explain, "only thing I can think of."

"Huh," Jim replies, "maybe forgive her, but let her sweat about it for a bit."

"Don't think she's getting off the hook for this," I reply, "well, I'm gonna get home. Mom and dad may be worried by now."

"Mr. and Ms. Diaz?" Johnson asks.

"Tomato tamato," I smile, "see you dudes later."

I ring my bell, calling a carriage, but as I approach it I hear the sound of a portal opening. I see two masked goons. They're...

They're...

I remember the fire. The burning fire. The fire on my flesh, searing into me an eternal reminder...

My wand glows green and my left elbow itches. I use a Narwhal Blast to attack the goons, but one of them tackles me from behind, and pulls me into the portal. No! I can't go back! Not there! Mewni! The Underworld! Anywhere else! Just not there!

JUST NOT THERE!

"We got him," Mr. Henious closes his mirror, after receiving a report from one of his goons.

"Is he OK?" Star asks.

"See for yourself," Mr. Henious smiles. Two goons drag Comet into the room, one of the goons hand me his wand.

"What about the spell book?" I ask.

"You'll have to go get that from Earth," Mr. Henious smirks, looking at Comet as he gets to his feet, who hides his expression by looking down.

"I'm sorry," I explain, "but here, you'll be safe from Moon."

"I hate you," he growls, "you should have killed me. I'd rather be dead than here. Just go."

I turn away. Why did he hate me? I just want a brother. Is that so much to ask?

I feel tears welling up, so I open a portal to Earth and leave.

"Welcome back!" Mr. Henious exclaims. Tears stream down my face. All I can think about is the fire. I want to call out for help.

"Marcie! Mom! Dad! Tiffany! Anyone!" I want to scream...

...

But no one would care.

"Did you forget?" Mr. Henious chuckles, "you belong here. After all..."

Mr. Henious grabs my left arm and pulls up my sleeve, revealing my false mark burned into my flesh. Two words. Two words that I saw, and vowed to kill Moon. Words burned into me by the monster who stands before me after my first failed escape attempt, one before I suceeded...

"False Heir."

"You're marked. Maybe I need to remind you of your place," Mr. Henious grabs a piece of red of metal, "maybe I should mark YOUR FACE."

"NO!" I scream, crying, "you win."

I can't stop shaking, I still feel the fire. I never told Tiffany, but I hate fire. I HATE IT! I HATE IT!

"You win," I kneel, broken, "you win. Just no more fire..."

"Very good," Mr. Henious smiles, "to your room Comet."

Crying, I go to my room. I look off the balcony. This is my home now. The three days I had a family, were the best of my life, and now it's gone. Now...

There is only the thoughts of fire...
