The Truth of the Past

This chapter this is Eclipsa.

"We had a deal you-" I cry out only to see a middle aged woman with blue hair crying, "You're not Rhombulus."

"You..." the woman growls summoning magic in her hands, "You..."

"What year is this?" I demand.

"You've been here like three hundred years," the woman hisses, "But you... you cursed me."

"Oh," I chuckle, "Is that what this is about? Oh that wasn't me. So you're the new queen?"

"Quit lying to me!" The queen screams, "I'm Moon Butterfly, queen of Mewni and your curse has taken everything I love from me!"

I once more chuckle, "Funny how you look to blame anything but yourself. I'll put this simpily. I didn't do anything to you, but I know all about the curse. I can tell you all you wanna know but I want answers first."

"What?" Moon demands.

"My husband Globgor," I inquire, "Is he-"

"Crystallized," Moon growls, "Now, answers."

I sigh, "Well it was countless years ago..."

Truly countless years ago I was freed by a woman in a brown cloak with snakes for hands and a crystalline body who stood next to Huckleberry, both appearing annoyed.

"Rhombulus," I inquired, "Huckleberry? What's going on?"

"We've come to make a deal," he explains, "So you put the darkest spell in the book didn't you?"

"Yes," I reply, "Why?"

"Well do you know how to stop it?" Huckleberry asks.

"Why should I?" I demand, "If it's used to kill someone I go free. If every queen knows it it's gonna be used sooner or later."

"Look enough beating around the bush!" Rhombulus exclaims, "The prince has gone mad! He killed his mother and is fighting his sister!"

"How did this happen?" I inquire.

"The prince," Huckleberry explained, "Jushtin, was to pass the throne on to his sister, but in a rage he proclaimed the wand and throne were rightfully his. Now the two are fighting and we've come with an offer, defeat Jushtin, and we'll let you walk away."

"I..." I replied, before thinking, "And my husband?"

"He will remain safe," Rhombulus explained, "But crystallized."

I noded, accepting the deal. Huckleberry opened a portal and I went through, to see Jushtin, his cloak blood stained as his sister cowered in fear, the wand on the ground between them. The two stand on opposite ends of the Grandma Room, Jushtin exclaiming, "This kingdom is mine by birthright! You won't that what is rightfully mine! I-"

I leap in and grab the wand, glaring, "That's enough Jushtin."

I get a good look at his eyes now, those twisted, green eyes full of dark magic and hatred, he exclaims, "I have already won you fool! I will be immortal! A God among men! I will rule Mewni forever! I'll slice you in half with a 90 degree beam!"

Jushtin, from his hands fires a perfectly strait green beam at an intense speed which I just manage to counter with a Midnight Shriek.

"Circumference Curve!" Jushtin cries out, firing a curved pink beam that strikes me in the hip, drawing blood as I fall to one knee, Jushtin laughing madly. I cast Black Velvet inferno, Jushtin howling with laughter, gripping his face and accepting his fate, "You fool! You're fools! Both of you! My spell! You activated my greatest spell! I am immortal now! I am God!"

"No," I glare, "You're a monster who killed his mother. Die."

Jushtin died by my hands, but...

Jushtin was not actually dead. I saw him, his soul, enter the wand, infecting it before the queen took it from me and Huckleberry pulled me through a portal to have my feet crystallized right back where I once was.

"Wait!" I plead, "Jushtin used a spell! He went into the wand! He-"

"Save it," Huckleberry sighs, "I'm sorry about this. For what that's worth but... what Jushtin did would destory the Kingdom. Look, if some queen happens to use your spell, we'll let you go. I mean we kinda owe you a favor but for now... we need to erase Jushtin. Mewni is in chaos and if we don't pin this on you... I'm sorry."

"You can't do that-" I exclaimed but was to late to warn them.

"And that curse," I elaborate, "Allows Jushtin to possess the current queen, but whatever you did was still you as it's not a full possession all the time. It only enhances dark desires. Whatever you did, you did. Moon did."

"But I abused and killed my son and if I actually did that-" Moon pleads.

"Hey," I chuckle, "You did, and if I wasn't a crystal, after you said that, I swear... but I am. I wonder how tight the grip Jushtin has on you is."

"Tight enough to hold a conversation," Moon replies her eyes glowing green.

"So," I ask, "What happened to her son, how much of that was you?"

"Only the killing part," Jushtin replies, "She abused him on her own. I must ask Eclipsa, how did you know how my spell worked?"

"Well she clearly wasn't under your full control," I reply, "So I could tell it was only a partial possession and you claiming to be immortal and going into the wand was all I needed to see to figure out the rest."

"Well," Jushtin chuckles, "I'm king now, and soon I'll claim my next heir. I don't know why Star hasn't been possessed yet, but something went wrong at the passing of the wand. As soon as I find a proper host, most likely Star, my reign will continue."

"You're a monster," I growl.

"No," he replies summoning a spell just like Rhombulus's in his hand, "I'm a God, a king, as I should rightfully be, and over the years I've learned every spell, even those of the High Commission. After all, I've had all the time in the world to learn such things. Making crystals, opening portals, I got it all."

"I don't know who this Star is," I chuckle, "But someone, someday, is going to kill with my spell, and I'll be free, and who knows, maybe it'll be her."

Jushtin chuckles, "Oh, trust me, I'm ready for her. I would've loved Comet as a host, but he died. Him and I are the same in so many ways. Alas this is where we ended up. He became to dangerous. He had to go. Star and Comet, brother and sister. Comet is gone and if she won't be my host, Star is next."

"You're a monster," I glare, "When I get out of here, I'm going to stop you."

"Feel free to try," Jushtin chuckles freezing me once more...

Pathetic and weak.

My job is done here.

I chuckle and turn back to look at the queen, bitterness in her eyes as I feel Moon began to retake control. I open a portal back to Mewni and speak, "I'm going to have fun finishing you off, Eclipsa..."

I return to my throne, sit, and await Star, to take her as my next vessel as Moon retakes control, returning me to the depths of her mind...
