This is Marcie this chapter.

I open my eyes. At first, I feel only pain. My vision is hazy and my stomach churns like a raging ocean. It all hurts, but what hurts most is Star. She's gonna get hurt. I have to get up. I have to save her.

I struggle to sit upright. It hurts everything. I almost collapse from the pain as I struggle to my feet. I'm crying now as I go to grab my wand, finding it to be missing. My scissors also appear to be absent as well from their usual location on my bedside table. I decide to find them, somewhere in this house...

There's a loud crash upstairs.

"Is he up?" mom asks, concern in her voice.

"I'll check on him," I reply rushing upstairs.

"Wait," dad hands me a plate of bacon and eggs, "make sure he eats."

"I will," I reply, taking his breakfast and going upstairs.

When I open his door, I see Comet with tears streaming down his face as he struggles to walk.

"Comet!" I exclaim.

Marcie blocks the doorway, standing there with her cute red hoodie. On her face however, is not her sweet smile, but a look of concern.

"Comet," she sets down a plate of food, which looks incredibly appetizing. I feel like I haven't eaten in days.

"I have to help Star," I speak weakly, "my scissors."

"Comet you've been out for two days!" she exclaims, "you have to rest!"

"I have to help Star," I take a stance that I learned in the karate classes with Marcie, holding my ground against Marcie.

He's in some much pain. I can see it in his eyes. He's crying. I have to stop him.

"Don't make me hurt you," I beg, "don't make me do this."

Comet doesn't relent, but he doesn't attack. I can see in his eyes he doesn't want to, but he doesn't drop his stance.

"It's you or me!" he warns, "don't make me... make..."

He collapses.

"Comet!" I exclaim, helping him back to bed, "come on, you need to rest. It's OK."

I lay Comet down. He sweats heavily and his cheeks glow pink.

I can't get up. I don't have the strength. I feel so cold. My vision is hazy, and everything is sore.

"It hurts," I cough.

"I know," Marcie replies, grabbing my hand, "I know. It's OK. You're really sick. You got a fever?"

I nod weakly.

"Wand..." I muster the strength to speak, "spell for that. Spell book."

"I'll get it," Marcie replies with her sweet, sweet smile.

I grab the spell book from under Comet's bed, where the wand is also hidden while I have the scissors on hand and open the book.

"Well you may as well be princess," Glossaryck sighs, "what do you want?"

"You seem agitated," I reply, "are you OK?"

"I'm just sick of this," the blue being admits, "I protect the royal family, but with all that''s been going on I don't know who to help anymore. For now, you have the book, so, what do you need?"
