Chapter 18: Losing to the Candy Apples

Stanley was seen leaving the hotel room with his bags the next morning, which was a saturday because after the competition, he, Abby, Kalani, Allison, Gianna, James, the girls and their moms would immediately head to LaGuardia Airport to catch a flight back home to Chicago and he saw that Chloe and Christi approached him.

"Hi, Chloe. Hi, Christi." Stanley greeted.

"Hi, Stanley." Christi greeted back.

"Are you ready to see us beat Cathy?" Chloe asked.

"Yes i am, Chlobird. It'll never get old seeing you and the girls beat Cathy's crabby apples." Stanley told her as the three headed to the elevator, they got on when it came up, then it took them to the first floor and on that floor, Gianna, James, the girls and moms were all talking and they had their bags while Abby was getting everyone checked out and Allison was helping her.

"We had a great time here in New York City!" Maddie told the girls.

"You're right, Mads. We sure did." Nia said.

"Maybe one day, we'll be back here again." Kendall added.

"We probably will be back one day, Kendall K." Brooke told her.

"But when this competition ends, it's back to Naperville." Paige stated.

"You said it, Paigey." Mackenzie agreed then she saw Stanley arriving with Chloe and Christi. "Hey, Stanley! Hello, Chloe! Hello, Christi!"

"Hi girls. Hi, moms." Christi responded.

"What's up, Christi?" Melissa asked.

"Nothing much, what are you all doing?"

"Waiting for Abby to check us out, then we head to Brooklyn to compete in StarQuest and hopefully beat Cathy's apples." Holly responded.

"If we lose to Cathy, neither Abby or even Stanley will let us hear the end of it because one of them might go postal." Kelly said.

"You bet." Jill agreed, then Abby was done and then she and Allison approached everyone.

"All right, everyone. Now that i've gotten us all checked out of the hotel, let's all get on the bus and head to Brooklyn so we can beat Cathy!" Abby ordered.

"You heard my mom, let's roll!" Stanley added as everybody all walked to the exit and Allison held his hand as they all were making their way to the bus that was going to take them to the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts.

"Allison and Stanley are a cute couple." James commented.

"They are and i'm glad they got together." Gianna added, then they were outside and got on the bus and took their seats and like usual, Stanley was sitting with Abby and with that, the driver began driving them to Brooklyn, it turned right on to 7th Avenue from 46th street, then made a left turn onto 42nd street, passing the Times Square-42nd Street subway station and a few minutes later, the bus entered Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive aka FDR Drive, then after passing the Brooklyn Bridge, the bus turned from the Battery Park Underpass and went into another tunnel called the Hugh L. Carey tunnel, which connects New York City and Brooklyn.

"Do you think Spider-Man swung through New York?" Paige asked.

"He might have." Chloe joked to her twinny. "If we had webbing powers like him, we could web-swing ourselves to the studio from the house."

"That would be awesome." Maddie stated.

"If he tried to carry Miss Abby on his back, he'd probably fall." Brooke joked as the girls laughed..

"That's a good one, Brooke." Nia said as Stanley and Abby rolled their eyes at the joke that the girls had just made.

Then minutes later, the bus arrived at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, where StarQuest was going to be held at, then they got off and got their bags, then all of them walked in and were greeted by their adoring fans, got signed in for the competition and entered a dressing room that said ALDC and right away, Chloe and Mackenzie started to get ready.
