Chapter 28: Week of Solos

Two weeks later, at the Studio, the day was July 2nd and that was a week prior to Nationals in Los Angeles. The ALDC had yet another successful competition in Nashville, getting a clean sweep and sitting at the desk was Abby, Stanley, Gianna and Allison, who were all on Stanley's laptop to see what competition they were gonna head to on July 7th and like the in the past 4 weeks, Kalani filled in for Paige that weekend. Kalani was in Studio B taking a class.

"Where is the last competition before Nationals going to be held at?" Allison wondered as she watched her boyfriend and Abby checking the information of the competition.

"Stanley and Abby are checking it out now and then they'll let us know." Gianna answered.

"All right, from what we've checked, the next competition is going to be called Hollywood Vibe and this weekend, it's going to be held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa." Abby informed them.

"Which is 3 hours and 13 minutes from here in Naperville to there and it's supposed to start at noon." Stanley added.

"Then on July 12th, we'll fly out to Los Angeles and our flight will leave at 1:05."

"Actually, the 1:05 flight is what you'll be on with your mother and sister, i'll be coming with Gianna, the girls and their moms." Allison informed her boyfriend.

"Also, this is going to be a week of Solos, because we've got four solos for Nationals and i remember we were talking about having one dancer have that solo automatically." Gianna said.

"And that's the dancer that has had a stellar season this year." Stanley commented.

"And that's Chloe." Abby told them. "What do you think of that?"

"Sounds good to me, the girls are all hard workers, but Chloe has put it a lot of work and does it humbily and puts the team first." Stanley agreed, then the moms and girls all arrived an hour later.

"Girls, get in here! Let's go!" Allison shouted as Chloe, Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Brooke, Paige, who had just recovered from her stress fracture and Kendall all came into Studio A with their moms behind them.

"Ok, we made up for not having our clean sweep two weeks ago by getting a clean sweep and Paige has recovered from her stress fracture, so welcome back, Paige." Stanley stated as everyone clapped.

"This weekend, we are heading to Hollywood Vibe in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and you know that Nationals is next week, so for this competition, we won't have a group dance because it's going to be a week of Solos. Chloe, you will not be dancing in this competition because of your stellar season this year and we all know that you're a shoo in for a solo. Is that fine with you girls and moms if we rest Chloe until Nationals?" Abby wondered as the girls and moms all gave their approval.

"Sounds like a plan." Jill said.

"I agree." Melissa agreed.

"That's fine with me." Kelly stated.

"We don't have a problem with it." Holly said.

"That's ok with me." Christi admitted as the girls all hugged Chloe.

"All right, let's get to the pyramid." Stanley said.

"Before we do, let's tell the girls the dancing assignemts." Gianna suggested as Abby, Stanley and Allison nodded. "Maddie, your solo is called Beat it, which is sung by the king of pop, Michael Jackson. Mackenzie, your solo is entitled Glamourous, Nia, your solo is named Let Me Fall. Brooke, your solo is named Swing Set. Paige, your solo is called Jailhouse Rock and Kendall, your solo is entitled Hold on. Now you can get to the pyramid.
