We ended up in America next. Celina was grinning as she spoke next. I had never seen her look so excited about gaining a teammate, so I knew that there was some good news in store for us. "America is the best place for finding Pure mages, you know," Celina told us.

"What makes you say that?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.

"Two Pure mages live here. In fact, they live together in a small town in Nebraska. The two Pure mages both know each other quite well, so well that they're actually in a relationship," Celina went on.

"So... They're lesbians?" asked Trina.

Celina nodded. "Yeah. The two of them are in a relationship. Their names are Grace and Kidani. They've been together for ages, so chances are that they both know about the other being Pure mages. So far, everybody has known about their powers aside from Renee. Following this trend, these two will likely know the truth."

"Am I the only one who finds that a little bit suspicious?" Trina asked. "Like... All of us knew that were were destined for some aspect of greatness in magic. Renee came along and had absolutely no idea that magic existed. I think that there's definitely something weird about that, but that could be just me."

"I find it a little strange too," Celina admitted. "But we can think about it later. There are much more important things to deal with at this moment in time. For example, finding Grace and Kidani. They're supposed to be around here somewhere."

Celina led Trina and I to a park. It was rather nice in there, I had to admit. My mother had always told me that America was a land that nobody liked over in China. She was always very stern with me about America. She said that talking about it was forbidden. I never asked, of course, since I could be a bit of a goody two shoes.

Seeing the park filled with happy children made me smile. A few were tossing a Frisbee between one another. The others were doing things such as tag. A few kids were climbing up a tree, which was large and had long, curling branches.

Another tree stood nearby. I looked over at it and saw that there were two girls sitting underneath it. One had her head resting on the shoulder off the other, eyes closed serenely. Perhaps those two were the ones we were looking for...

Celina seemed to think so as well. She led us over to the two girls. I got a better look at them when we grew nearer. One girl had long orange hair in delicate curls. She was wearing a yellow jacket over an orange dress. She had a pink belt on with white socks and black shoes. A scarf was tied into her hair that was patterned like the American flag.

The other girl had dark brown hair and matching eyes. Her skin was tinted lightly, which contrasted against the pale complexion of the girl beside her. She wore a white shirt with a skirt of brown. Beads were hanging from her belt and the hem of her skirt. She wore black boots on her feet of the combat variety. This girl, who was supporting the head of the other, stroked her friend's hair gently.

Okay. The two of them are definitely girlfriends.

Celina walked up to the girls and stood so that her shadow was cast over them. The brown haired girl looked up. The other one was snoring soundly as she rested her head on the brown haired girl's neck. "Hm?" the brown haired girl asked. Her eyes were motherly and kind. I instantly felt calmed down when I met her eyes. She seemed so kind.

"Hey," Celina began simply, "I'm Celina, and these two are Renee and Trina. You two must be Kidani and Grace. The two of you are-"

"Pure mages," the brown haired girl said, cutting Celina off. "Yes. I know. Of course I know."

"Which one of you is Grace and which one is Kidani?" Trina asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

The brown haired girl pointed to herself and then to the orange haired girl at her side. "Kidani and Grace," she said. Kidani then gently wrapped her arm around Grace's shoulder and whispered into her ear. "Gracie, wake up... We have visitors..."

Grace woke up a few seconds later. Her eyes were blue and rather tired. She rubbed them gently as she sat up. "What kind of visitors?" she asked, clearly having not seen us.

"Pure mages. I knew that something was going wrong," Kidani explained to Grace.

Grace shot awake when she heard about us being Pure mages. "You were right!" she cried out, looking around furiously to find the Pure mages she had heard about. Eventually, the girl's eyes settled on Celina, Trina, and I. "So you three are the ones, huh? You seem pretty cool. And you are all girls... That makes sense. All Pure mages have to be girls, after all. It's just how the universe works. At least that's what Kidani told me."

"We should get out of here," Kidani whispered. "I feel that something is about to go wrong... Very soon. I have a bad feeling about this, Gracie."

Grace gasped and looked around. "Your senses are never wrong!" Grace cried out. She jumped to her feet and then helped Kidani to hers. She ran over to Celina's side. The red haired girl pulled her dagger from her sleeve, but before she could cut through the air to create a rift, a scream pierced the air.

Nearby was a figure dressed in all red. A symbol of all black was on the figure's face. I gasped. I knew what was going on. The red outfit and the black design on the face...

"It's a Trelosa soldier!" Celina gasped in shock. "Come on, girls! We have to take care of this before anything goes wrong and innocent people end up hurt! Hurry up!"
