I glanced around the area that we had ended up in. It looked rather fancy, I had to say. I didn't really know what was fancy by India's standards, but it definitely looked nice to me.

"You certainly look impressed," Celina commented, nudging me with her shoulder gently.

"I am! I'm so impressed that I've been able to see so much of the world, and on top of that, this place looks wonderful!" I cried out.

"You can look around a little bit more when we go to find the Pure mage of Sands. She's not all that far from here, if my information is correct," Celina said. She gestured for Arianna and me to follow her. I did so without objection. I wanted to see who this new mage was. I was in the mood to make a few new friends today.

Celina led us down a few more streets. They were bustling with life. All sorts of people were scattered about, chatting amongst each other. Some were buying things from shops on the streets. It seemed to me that this wasn't entirely a residential area, but rather a shopping district.

We soon exited the shopping area and ended up on the outskirts of the town. A few more houses were scattered about this area. They all seemed to look rather nice like the buildings at the center of town looked. I figured that one of these houses held the Pure mage of Sands. There wasn't a reason for us to come down these streets if she wasn't around here.

Celina soon paused and knocked on a door of a house. I watched her in silence. I shared a small smile with Arianna. She seemed to be about as excited as I was, even if she was covering it up with her relaxed exterior.

The door opened not long after to show a girl standing in the doorway. Her skin was pale, almost the color of snow. Her eyes were a blue so pale that they looked like the sky. Her hair was a yellow color and fell down her back in curls. She wore a dress that reached her ankles. The top part of it was a mix of silver and golden. It looked rather fancy. This stretched out down one of her arms. The other arm was covered in yellow fabric, the same color that made up her skirt. Silver flat shoes were on her feet.

"Who might you be?" she asked quietly. "Is something the matter?"

"My name is Celina. This is Renee and she's Arianna. We're here to speak to the Pu-" Celina started, only to be interrupted by the blonde girl that stood before us.

"Pure mage of Sands," the girl said. "I can take you to speak with her if that's what you desire, Ms. Celina."

"That would be nice," nodded Celina. She followed the girl into the building. I wasn't entirely sure if Arianna and I were supposed to go after her, but I followed anyways. Ari was a few feet behind me.

The inside of the building had rather nice furnishing. There was a large family picture hanging in a frame nearby. It was of a family. There were two adults, likely the parents, and four children. Three of them looked almost identical to their dark haired parents, but the final one was the girl who had led us inside. There was an extremely strong contrast between her and the rest of the family members, I noticed. I wasn't entirely sure what the reasoning was behind her radically different appearance, but I figured that it was best if I didn't ask.

We all took a seat on the chairs that littered the living room. They appeared to have been made from rather nice fabric. I guessed that the Pure mage was from one of the richer families that lived in the area. I couldn't think of any other explanation for why the house looked so nice and neat.

"The Pure mage will be down shortly," the girl told us in her gentle voice.

"I don't think that she will be," Celina said, shaking her head to herself.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my eyes going wide. "How can you be so sure of that?"

"I believe that we've already met our Pure mage of Sands," Celina told me.

"Have you now?" the girl asked, tilting her head to the side gently.

"Yes. When it comes to magic, then Pure magic is always passed down from the mother to the oldest daughter of the family. I saw the family picture in the entryway. There were three other children, two girls and one boy. They all looked considerably younger than our guide here. There's no way that either one of the girls could be the Pure mage since they look younger, and Pure magic cannot sustain itself in a male body," explained Celina.

"I think I get it," Arianna nodded to herself. "So that means that-"

Celina nodded as well. "Our guide here is really the Pure mage, likely testing us to make sure that we're not some sort of enemy here to take her life," she said.

A small smile appeared on the lips of our guide. She met Celina's eyes. "Alright. I suppose that there's no hiding it now," she told us. Her voice sounded silky and delicate, sort of like how Viveca sounded when she spoke.

"Your name. What is it?" Celina asked.

"Melody Mohan," the girl replied. "And you are correct. I'm the Pure mage of Sands, just like you said. You all are Pure mages. I can sense your magic from here."

"Wow. That's rather impressive," I said with a smile. "It's nice to meet you, Melody."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well," Melody said. She bowed her head slightly and smiled up at me.

"Would you be willing to help us out?" Celina asked.

"You will have to tell me what you need my help for first," Melody said.

Celina nodded. "Alright. Well, there's this figure named Hakate..."
