"And that's about it," I said once I had gone through the entire story for Elina. "I know that it sounds pretty unbelievable, but... That's the truth."

Elina stared at me for a few seconds with this odd look that appeared to be a mixture of being both dumbfounded but still entranced by what I was saying, as if she truly believed it behind that facade of being the cynical girl that she always had been. A moment later, she shook her head and let out a sigh. "Normally, I wouldn't be inclined to believe a thing like this, but... I guess that I don't really have much of a choice in the matter. I mean, the fact that you showed me your... Tricks... A few minutes ago should be proof enough that you aren't joking around. Besides, it's not like you were ever the joking type in the first place, right?"

"That's true," I said with a nod. "So... There you have it. I told you the story, you believe me, and we have things to get to before the day is done. That being said, would you join us in saving the world? Or at least doing the best that we can to make sure that things don't go downhill within the span of the next forty eight hours or so?"

"That got surprisingly bleak for somebody as optimistic as you, Renee, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt," Elina said. "If you truly require my help in this situation, I'd be glad to give it."

"Great!" I chirped in excitement, effectively making everybody in the room jump in shock. "Sorry," I apologized not long after. "I guess that I just tend to get a tad bit overexcited when it comes to situations in which things go my way. My bad."

"It's alright," Elina assured me. "It's all part of your charm from what I can see."

"Thanks," I giggled with a small grin. "Anyways, we should probably get ready to see Celina again."

The small box was removed from my pocket not long after. I looked over it for a few seconds before opening it. The metal sphere at its center levitated above the leather that it had been sitting in up until that point before taking off, flying through the air until it had disappeared from view entirely.

"I don't think that you told me about that part of the story," Elina said with a small frown.

"Ah," I said. "Well, you see, that metal sphere is going to go to Celina, the girl in our gang that can control weapons easily, and that will tell her that we're ready to have her come and pick us up so that we can head back to our main base in her hometown."

"Wow. That's pretty impressive," remarked Elina with a nod. "I don't think that I've ever seen anything like it."

"Not very many people have since it has to do with magic and barely anybody has a clue regarding the existence of magic in the first place," I laughed. "Anyways, we should head outside. Celina will be here any moment now."

"Wait... But what are we going to do?" asked Elina. "My parents are bound to freak out if they come home and find that I have disappeared out of the blue."

"We'll just get a little bit of help from the shadowy creatures of the other dimension that I mentioned a little while ago," I told her. "Celina can help us out with that. You don't have a thing to worry about."

Elina leaned in a little bit closer to me for a second, a small smirk on her face. "You sure do seem to think highly of this Celina character," she said. "The only time that I've seen people talk about others in a way like this is if they have a crush on the one that they are referring to."

I felt my face go red in the blink of an eye. "I do not have a crush!" I exclaimed as loudly as I could. I was thankful at that moment that I was speaking to her in Chinese as opposed to the language that I used to converse with the other members of our party. I would have died of embarrassment right there on the spot if the other three girls in the room had understood what I had just cried out.

Elina let out a small giggle. "Say whatever you want," she said with a shrug. I could tell that she wasn't buying a word of what I was saying, and she was probably right to do so, as she was right. I did think that Celina was a tad bit different from others that I had interacted with. I couldn't exactly place a finger on it, but... She wasn't like the other people. Something about her just made me happier than I was usually around people that I knew. It was a tad bit strange to me, but I didn't care.

Elina got to her feet and walked for the door, smirking all the way. I could tell that she was still thinking about how I spoke about Celina. I didn't want to get into an argument with her on the subject, as I knew her well enough to know that she wasn't going to back down until I admitted the truth, and I didn't exactly want to do that at that moment in time, if you know what I mean.

Arianna, Viveca, and Corrine followed us out to the street. It was nearly vacant at that moment in time, which I was thankful for. I glanced around a little bit, expecting to see some familiar face belonging to Celina or one of our other comrades. I got the feeling that it was only a matter of minutes before Celina came by to pick us up, as she seemed like the punctual type for sure.

Soon after, we saw a small flash of light, so we instinctually walked towards it, and sure enough, there was Celina. I felt a little bit of heat rise in my cheeks, but I did my best to suppress it as I took a few steps closer to the red haired girl.
