Chapter 11

I twisted the bracelet around my wrist as I sat at my Aunts dinner table. She wasn't getting home until later in the evening.

I heard a knock from the door and I walked over to the window. I saw Caleb and his friend and Grace standing at my door. I smile. I opened the door and saw them looking at me smiling.

"Hey Kori! Mind if we come in?" Caleb's friend (Gavin) asked. I smiled and nodded. They stepped inside and looked around.

"Your aunts gotta nice place." Grace said.

"Yah, anyways what are you guys doing here?" I asked. They snickered at me.

"We are having a sleep over here." Caleb said with a devious smile. This is probably pay back for something I did.

"Alright fine. But I'll talk to my aunt." I said heading over to grab the home phone. I dialed her number and it rung. After a while I heard her voice mail start to record so a hung up.

"That's weird... She always answers my calls." I said. Then I hear the phone ring. I pick it up.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Sorry Kori I was in a meeting and it turns out I'm staying overnight. I will be home early tomorrow morning okay? I love you! I have to go now bye." I heard her say through the phone.

"Love you too." I said and I put the phone down.

Grace, Gavin, and Caleb already made themselves comfortable on the couch. I tell them about my aunt and they get excited. I smiled at them.

"So.. Guess what I got? " Grace said as she pulled a couple bottles of wine out of her night bag.

"Grace? Is that?" Gavin asks worried.

"Don't worry! My parents don't even know." She said smiling.

"Yeah, because that's what I wanted to hear. " Gavin says sarcastically making me and Caleb laugh.

We all drank a little of the bottle and started talking about what our plans were tonight. Gavin and Grace kept arguing whether we should play soon the bottle or not and me and Caleb talked about how his mom and dad visited him yesterday.

"It was a great time." He said and then looked at me. I smiled.

"I'm glad it was for you." I said.

Maybe it was just the wine or me being tired but I think we were staring at each other. We both snapped out of it and looked away from each other. Grace and Gavin announced something.

"We are playing truth or dare!" They said in unison.

"But wait! There's more! Whenever someone chooses truth or dare they have to have a drink of wine!" Grace said holding her finger in the air.

I could tell she doesn't handle alcohol well. As me and Caleb were about to protest the game suddenly began making us close our mouths and sigh.

"So! Truth or Dare Caleb?" Grace asked him. Caleb thought about it.

"Dare." He said after drinking from the wine bottle.
