They try to beat us to the ground,

seeing heartbroken souls all around.

They believe we can't survive,

that all we have is a heartbroken dive.

Another time, another place,

someone else's heartbroken face.

We can do it, nothing to it.

We will be there, we will prove it.

Your warm embrace, your sweet face,

keeps me going night after night, day after day.

Your smile, your eyes

keep me alive.

They believe our love is not strong,

they think we will not carry on.
