Promise Ring

You give me this ring as a promise of your love.

I give back affection and a promise,

that we will love each other till we see our keeper,

but do you really mean to say this?

Or do you want the possessions and money? (Just like the others before you...)

Love is a nightmare, but a promise ring is what wakes you up.
