Still

My arm tingles as an electric spark travels

downward from your touch,

a simple touch of my arm.

Can you hear their wings flapping?

The butterflies inside my stomach

never seem to take a rest.

My palms sweat and my heart rate

rapidly increases at the very sight of

your eyes meeting mine.

All my thoughts of you and I,

all our memories,

bring my head spinning in dizziness.

My lips moving with nervous chatter

to keep you near to me for as

long as possible.

My eyes glow every time you smile,

especially when you laugh at me.

The fireworks light up my own

personal world with just a gentle

brush against your lips.

It is all cliche, I know.

It is all true thanks to you.

That is what you do to me

still.
