Never Let Go of Me

We stand together in silence

wrapped closely together in each other's arms.

We don't care who sees or what they think.

People don't understand how or why.

If only they felt the way I do when you hold me.

When you put your arms around me

I feel like I can fly and the sky is my home.

I feel like I am floating on a cloud just passing by.

I can reach down and feel you.

I can see your every dream.

I can listen to you wish upon a star.

I can hear you think of me.

The messages sent between us

are true and endless.

When I catch your gaze

I smile knowing that I am yours.

When you laugh at me

I know you need me.

When I cry because of you

I know I will die without you.

When I hear a song and think of you

I know I have someone special.

When you tell me that you love me

I know that you mean it.

Now please just never pull your arms off me

because I might fall out of the sky,

fall off the cloud.

I won't be able to feel you.

I won't be able to see your dreams.

I won't be able to listen to your wishes.

I won't be able to hear your thoughts.

Our messages will be tainted with the world.

You will not gaze or laugh.

I will still cry and listen to the song.

But I will never hear I love you from your lips

and that is something I know will never come true.
