I woke up quietly in Vergil's bed. My back was against something warm, and I realized I was back to back with Vergil. His breaths were even, and he was shirtless. I was on the edge of the bed, giving him most of the room. I blinked, looking at the sunlight cascading through the window. It shone on my bare feet and calves.

And then I remembered that I was a vampire.  With a loud hiss, I sprang back, rolling over Vergil and landing on the floor.

"What the fuck?!" he yelled, sitting up.

He glanced over at the spot that I had been laying in, seeing the sunlight. His eyes widened, and he rolled over to look at me.

"Where did it burn you?"

He slid off the bed, landing in front of me.

"That's just it, Vergil. It didn't burn me!"

He blinked, grabbing my hand and pulling me to my feet. I blushed as he bent, running his hands down my bare calves and feet. He stood, shoving his fingers through his tousled hair. A breath escaped him.

"I should have known earlier. You slept through the night, your eyes changing colors. It makes perfect sense."

"What? What makes sense? What am I?"

He smiled, "You are a Daywalker."

"A say what now?"

"A Daywalker. It means that you are immune to sunlight,  your eyes change colors, and you can retract your fangs."

Self consciously, I rubbed my tongue over my extended fangs. They were still there.

"Of course, you will have to learn these things."

"How?"

He shrugged, "I do not know. I suppose I could do research and try to educate you."

I nodded. I needed to learn these things.

"And tracing? Will I be able to do that?"

He nodded, making my heart jump. I was finally going to teleport!

Suddenly, the door sprang open, and a shirtless Dante stood in the hall.

"Vergil! Come quick! I can't find-" he glanced over at me, "Oh. Never mind. Am I interrupting something?"

Vergil shook his head, "No, but do me a favor. Put a shirt on. And lose the sweatpants.

Dante made as if he was going to take them off right there. Vergil's hand shot forwards, covering my eyes.

"Dante, not here. Not in front of her."

Dante winked, "Yes. I guess she might see something she likes."

I gagged.

Vergil chuckled as Dante flipped me the bird and walked away. I left, giving Vergil privacy as he changed. I walked into the living room, pulling the curtains off of the windows.

Jasmine walked down then. Seeing me, she panicked.

"Cassi? What the hell are you doing?!"

I sighed as the sunlight warmed my skin, and didn't burn me. Her jaw dropped as I turned to face her.

"I am a Daywalker, Jasmine. "

She nodded as Dante - fully clothed - hurried down the stairs.

"OhmyGod." He said, rushing forwards and - to my surprise- hugged me. "A Daywalker? I never would've guessed!"

Vergil walked down and stood next to Jasmine.

"Why is this such a big deal?"

"Because, Cassi, Daywalkers are very, very rare."
