I snapped my head over to Kat. She held one of Dante's pistols, Ivory to be exact. The barrel was smoking, and it was shaking in her hands.
Vergil was up in an instant, barreling Kat over with a tackle. She hit the ground with a thump, smacking her head hard on the hardwood floor. The gun skittered away.
Dante raced to Jasmine's side, checking to see if she was alive. I stood, about to join Dante, but Vergil stopped me.
"Cassi!" He shouted over Kat's screams, "Get the duct tape!"
I turned and ran, rushing to the garage. I grabbed the duct tape from the work bench, slipping between my truck and Vergil's car. I traced to the house, crouching next to Vergil. He was pinning Kat easily to the ground, and Kat was trying valiantly to escape.
"Hold her."
I obliged, pressing her to the floor with bone crushing force. He ripped off a long piece, slapping it over her mouth. Her screams were instantly muffled. He sat her up, pulling her hands around behind her, taping them so tightly, her fingers turned red.
He dropped the roll of tape, picking Kat up. He dropped her on the couch forcefully. I turned to Dante. He was holding Jasmine's head to his chest, petting her hair away from her face. Tears streamed down his face. Jasmine's eyes were closed.
Vergil rushed to them, crouching next to Jasmine's limp form. He unzipped her jacket, exposing a large, bloody spot on her stomach. I dropped to my knees next to her.
He ripped open the hole in her shirt, exposing her bleeding stomach. The strong scent of blood hit me like a slap in the face. I recoiled, falling flat on my butt. Vergil glanced over at me, ripping off his shirt. He wadded it up, pressing it tightly to her wound.
"Get her up on the table, Dante."
Dante lifted her easily, placing her gently on the table.
"Cassi, get my medical bag! NOW!"
I traced to the room, grabbing it from under the bed and tracing back. He took it from me, opening it. He pulled out a long pair of tweezers and an alcohol pad. He cleaned the tweezers, placing his hand on Jasmines stomach.
"Hold her still, Dante. She's going to jump."
He dug the tweezers into the wound. Jasmine sprang to life, screaming at the top of her lungs with pain. Dante held her shoulders down, and I grabbed her legs. Vergil worked quickly, turning the tweezers this way and that as he searched for the bullet. I heard it click as he grazed it, earning another scream from Jasmine.
He pulled the bullet from her stomach, and blood welled, running down her side. He grabbed his shirt, pressing it on the wound, placing the bloody tweezers and bullet in the bowl. He grabbed the gauze, unraveling it. He placed a couple of squares on the wound, sitting her up. He wrapped the gauze around her mid-section to hold it there.
He wrapped a lot around her; soon it covered all the way up to her rib cage. He pulled off his bloody gloves as Dante laid her back down. She panted with pain and exhaustion.
He watched her breathe for a second, then glanced over at me.
"Congratulations," I said with a smile, "You have removed a bullet shirtless."
He scoffed, looking up at Dante. Dante smiled at him, "Thank you, brother."
Vergil nodded, "She doesn't have her amulet yet?"
Dante shook his head. Vergil seemed concerned.
"This healing process may take a while, then. Those bullets weren't poisoned, were they?"
