The Unexpected Brothers

Merida*
There was something about the cabin that made me feel safe. The inside definitely looked old. Everything inside was made of wood. The cabin was small. It had a small chimney and dusty rugs. There was just one more room that I could see and a small little opening that lead to a "kitchen". It didn't really seem like one but there was a small folding wood stove in the corner and an old wooden table with craving that decorated the edges.
It wasn't much, but at least we weren't outside. Hicc led us to the room I had spotted. It was tiny. It had two bunk beds. Dibs!!
I walked over to a dusty bed and dropped my bags on them. I threw myself on the bed not caring about how dirty it was. Punze joined me. The boys did the same except Jack laid on the ground while Hiccup laid on a bed.
I'm not sure how long we laid there, but I know it was a while. Hiccup was the first one to sit up.
" So.. What now?"
I looked over at Jack.
" Not sure bro."
We sat in silence.
"Ya know.. We can't stay here forever..." I said.
" Exactly. What happens when their food supply runs low in the town? They'll start to spread out and hunt almost like predator and prey." Punzie replied.
"Well then we stay here until that happens," Jack stated.
We all nodded.
" we're gonna need food," Hiccup said looking at me.
I knew what he was thinking. I was really good at stuff like that.

I could hunt, find trails. I knew what berries were poisonous and which were not. I could hide really well and move with out making a sound. In other words o knew how to survive That was my specialty.
We all had one.
Hiccup was good with his hands. He was incredibly good at fixing and making things. He was also good with animals. He knew about weapons and could hunt also. He knew how to read a map. He was also good at problem solving and negotiating. He's a big help and you know you can trust him.

Jack was great at stealing. He was known for that back home. He had a reputation with the cops but besides that we all found he was very easy to get along with. He was good at moving quick. He knew how to fight thanks to the street fights he use to have before Punze asked him to stop. He knew how to shoot accuretly and was clever. He also knew about survival.

Punze was a life savior. Literally. If you're sick or have a bad wound, Rapunzel is the person to go to. Besides her being a high school student, she has researched and practiced many surgeries and injuries. She knew almost as much as a surgeon. She was a quick thinker and very smart. Shes someone you could count on. No matter what she doesnt leave anything behind. She would need to learn how to shoot a gun though. I'll make sure to teach her.

Hiccup*
Sleeping was a struggle last night. The girls had taken the beds while me and Jack slept on the floor. I couldn't sleep.
I sat up and shook Jack awake.
When he opened his eyes I told him to get up and help me. He obeyed. We walked out of the room leaving the girls to sleep.
"What's up?" He asked.
"There's weapons here," I said simply he nodded. I stopped next to a red rug on the floor. I pulled it up and revealed a hidden trap door. Jack whistled.
" You my good sir are full of secrets," he smirked.
" You are too Overland" I replied.
He smirked at me," you know me too well Haddock. "
I yanked the door open and tried to pull out a big metal box. Jack saw me struggle and started to help me. God it's heavier than I remember. As soon as we pulled out the box I opened it.
Inside we're a few guns and knives.
"Oh hell yeah!!" Jack exclaimed while pulling out a hunting rifle.

Rapunzel*
My eyes fluttered open. I looked on the floor and notices the boys were gone. Weird. I got up and peered over the edge of Merida's bed. She was snoring. I giggled and walked over to the kitchen. It was empty. On the small wooden table there was a note.
Went hunting. We'll be back soon.

P.s. there's weapons under the red rug . When you're done picking put them back. We might need them later.

I smiled to myself. I'll pick weapons when Merida is awake. She'll know what the good stuff is.
I started trying to clean dusty surfaces. If we were gonna live here, might as well make it a little more clean. I took the red rug outside and dusted it off.
All of the sudden I heard a rustling sound. I froze in my place. My heart started pounding against my rip cage. I heard a twig snap. My curiosity started to run. I was about to go out and look for it, but I stopped myself. I had no idea what or who was out there. Instead I slowly stepped back and walked back inside the cabin. As soon as I was inside, I locked the door and I sprinted towards the room in which Merida was sleeping.
" Merida! Wake up something or someone is outside and I dont think it's the guys!"
She buried her head under the blankets and groaned.
"

five more minutes.."
I heard a slam against the door. My heart started to go insane and my mind started to race.
Merida sat up quickly.
She jumped off the top bunk and started to creep to the door.
I followed behind her. The banging at the door continued.
" I think it's an infected." She whispered.
As soon as she said that the doorknob started to rattle. I thought back to when we were at the store. The Infected didn't even try to open doors.
"No it's not an infected," I whispered back.
She nodded and took out her knife. We inched closer to the door. We heard a small click. Then the door slammed open. Two large men walked in. They were extremely muscular. They smirked at us before pulling out their guns and pointing them at us.
Jack*
We had been hunting for almost two hours now and have gotten 9 rabbits. We walked back talking to amongst ourselves. We finally arrived. We stepped on the stops to enter the cabin when I noticed something odd. I held up my hand signalling Hiccup to stop. He obeyed. I looked at the door. It was kind of smashed in and it was a little open. I listened and I swear I could here sniffles. And muffled shouts. I gave Hiccup a confused look. He gave me a worried one and mouthed Merida and rapunzel's names. Then signaled me to go in. I did. He followed close behind. As we got closer the muffling and the sniffing grew louder. It was definitely them, but now I got hear something else. Men were groaning. We got to the room's door and what I saw made my blood boil.
