Tough Love

Two day skip....
I looked out the car window and thought back to Jasmine and Herc.
We had gone back and buried their dead bodies.
It was sad especially with Meg and Aladdin crying like no tomorrow. I can't imagine losing the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. Al told me that he was planning on asking Jasmine to marry him right before the apocalypse started. Meg told us she had been dating Herc for a while now and that she thought he was the one. Ever since their deaths, Al has kept quiet and Meg has panick attacks and break downs. I know how to heal,but not a broken heart and it kills me that I can't help them.
It was dark now. The stars and moon glistened making the sky look beautiful while on earth everything still wasn't great.
I looked ahead and saw that Aladdin's car was slowing down. We slowed down behind them and stopped on the road. Al's group got out of the car and we followed. We walked over to their car. Aladdin was crying badly. His eyes were red and puffy. He was shaking and his sniffling was bad.
" I have to do something real fast," he said looking at all of us,"you guys didn't have to get off you know..."
" Yeah we thought something was up though." Jack said from behind me.
" I'm just gonna piss.. Get back in the car" Al answered before turning away.
" Alright then." Merida said turning away. Jack and Hiccup also did, but as soon as I was about to turn away I saw something glisten in Al's hands before he disappeared behind a bush. I looked closer and noticed that it was a gun.
Why would he need a gun? We're standing guard from our cars. That's when I fit all the puzzle pieces together.
Oh no!!
"Aladdin! " I shouted while running after him. I looked behind the bush and saw him with his mouth open and the glittering gun placed inside his mouth. His finger was on the trigger.
"No!"
He looked at me shocked. He took the gun out of his mouth and looked into my eyes. They were full of loss and pain.
" you don't have to do that Al "I said while stepping towards him with my arm extended towards him asking for the gun.
He just looked at me. I could feel how tense he was.
" What's going on? Punze?" I heard Merida say from the other side of the bush.
I ignored her and stepped even closer to Al.
"Please Al..don't do this. " I whispered.
He looked towards the bush then back at me.
"I'm sorry"
And with that he put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger. Blood splattered all over me.
"NOO!!" I screamed while I ran to his fallen body.I Kneeled beside him letting out all the tears I've been holding in.
"ALADDIN!"
I didn't take my eyes off him. The image of him shooting himself replayed over and over again.
Soon one by one each member of our group started showing up asking all sorts of questions and wanting direct answers. I just blocked everyone out and started digging a hole with my hands. Soon everyone caught on and helped. We dug a decent hole where he could fit. It was completely silent now. We were about to lift him up and put him down.
"Check his black pocket. He had some ammo in it. " Eric said.
Jack tilted him on his side while I dug onto his back pocket.
I extracted the contents and looked at them in my hand. 7 bullets and a ring.... Jasmine's engagement ring...
I couldn't help but cry.
We lifted Aladdin and buried him. Everyone started walking back to the car except me. I kneeled beside his burial and placed the ring on top of the freshly buried body.
" I hope you're with Jasmine and happy now Al," I whispered before walking away.
