Rapunzel*
The moment I heard those gunshots I froze.
It sounded close.
My mind was quick to think of all possibilities.
I quickly ran around my bed and pulled out my backback full of supplies and brought out my black handgun and multiple small knifes and daggers. I grabbed my hair and pulled it into a high pony tail.
I slid my backpack on and ran to the door. As soon as I was about to open the front door, Hiccup came limping beside me.
"Hey wait!," Hiccup shouted.
" you can't stop me Hiccup! Jack or Meri could be in trouble." I said as I fully opened the door.
"Yeah but wait. Let me go get my rifle and sword."
I looked at him in disbelief. " Hic you can't go out there. You arn't ready. "
Hic started going upstairs to get his things.
"Well I'm ready enough. I'm going Punze."
I rolled my eyes.
"Fine. "

The streets were quiet. Cars were abandoned or crashed and trash was dumbed all over the sidewalks and yards. Blood decorated some parts of the streets and cars.
Occasionally, we would run into a walker. I was worried sick about Hic. Even though he was healed, I was scared the walkers could catch up to him.
We tried our best to make it to the store quickly. If there was no trouble there, we would have to run to the woods.
"HICCUP?!? RAPUNZEL?!? WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOIN OUT HERE ALONE?!"
I quickly looked to my left and saw Merida running towards us with the rest of the group.
Merida's face was as red as her hair(I'm guessing from running so much. All of their faces were red.)
Hiccup ran as best as he could over at Meri.
"Merida! ," Hiccup shouted as he embraced her into a bear hug,"thank God you're ok!".
Hiccup's shoulder covered most of her face, but I could see her eyes widen in surprise. I wiggled my eyebrows at her.
Merida just narrowed her big blue eyes at me, but I could tell the was holding in a smile.
Hiccup finally let go.
" that means we have to check on Jack," Merida said.
My heart sank.
"Where are Wendy and Belle?" Mulan asked.
" they stayed behind." I said.
" ok.. let's go," Mulan said while picking up a jog.
Everyone followed.
" you know.. This is why we need our car," Hiccup said quietly to Meri.
She giggled and covered her mouth before they both ran after Mulan and the group.
I looked up at the sun and closed my eyes.
"Please let him be ok.." I whispered before I turned around and ran after the group hoping that Jack and the rest of the group was ok.
Jack •
Toothless barked loudly at the walkers as they reached up and tried to grab us from the bottom of the shelves.
"Lets just hope this shelf doesn't fall over." Shane said.
I grabbed my sickle staff and started to stab and hit off walkers with it. Blood splattered all over the shelves. Adam and Peter shot at the walkers and Shane started to slice and stab them also.
The shelf started to lean slowly.
Panicking, I grabbed Toothless and jumped to the shelf next to the one I was on. Toothless whimpered when I landed. Shake followed me and then Peter and Adam jumped after us, then the shelf fell over, crushing a group of walkers.
" we can't just jump from shelf to shelf," Shane said, looking around desperately for a way out of this death trap. Again, walkers started to line up against the shelf we were on. All of the sudden an arrow made it across the face of a walker that wasn't far from us. I looked across the store and saw a very focused Merida, holding a bow and an arrow aiming for another head. Mulan rushed over to the group of walkers and started attacking them. Of course... Then the walkers set their attention to her and made their way towards the group. Hiccup joined Mulan and together they started slicing heads. Pocahontas stabbed walkers in the head with a small ax and John beat them off with the butt of his gun. Rapunzel made her way through the crowd and began sneaking up behind some infected and stabbed them behind the neck or on the top of their head. I jumped down and started to beat them off also. Shane helped Mulan, and Peter brought out his small blade. Adam used his gun to bash in heads. Toothless growled, barked and scratched as Hiccup protected him. After what seemed like hours, Meri finally shot down the last infected.
Mulan let out a sigh of relief. We all stood there trying to catch our breath.
" what the fuck happened?! " John asked while he panted.
I looked at Peter. He just stared at John silently.
I shook my head and stormed out.
I felt eyes on me as I walked through the broken glass doors.
"Jack wait!"
I froze in place and waited for the small blond girl to catch up.
When I heard glass crunch under her small feet, I looked towards her, only to be embraced tightly.
I was surprised at first, but then I slowly wrapped my arms around her and stroked her golden hair. She felt so small and warm wrapped in my arms.
" I'm so glad you're ok," she said softly.
I lifted her face by her chin and saw a small tear slowly make her way down her face. I wiped it away.
" Hey.. No no no. Don't cry. Why are you crying sunshine? "
She smiled a little at my nickname for her.
" I was so scared. We lost so many people already.. I didn't want to lose you. "
"I know.. I know.. I'm ok though."
She nodded and looked up at me.
She had changed. Her sun kissed skin was pale. Her hair was not it's usual glowing gold. It was a little lighter. Her eyes had bags under them and I noticed that she appeared to have less hair. It wasn't as thick.
Her eyes didn't shine full of curiosity and excitement. They were now dark, mysterious and full of hurt.
I pulled her into a hug again before pulling away and slowly walking towards the house we had been living in for about 4 months. Tomorrow we are headed towards the survival camp .
