Its been two days since we left the house. Apparently, since Jack had crashed our old car into a building during a supply run, I had to fix one. It wasn't easy, but now I was driving towards a survival camp with my best friend sitting beside me and Jack, Rapunzel and Toothless slept in the back. I took a glance at Merida. Her head rested on the seat belt and spilled red shining curls all over the place. She wore a white tank top tucked into a pair of kind of saggy black jeans that were stuffed into Brown combat boots. A teal jacket was hung around her waist. She was in her winter outfit. She'd get hot soon since it was now spring. I couldn't see her face, but either way I still thought she looked beautiful. I looked back to the rode. Shane's military truck sped in front of me. Mulan and Shane sat in the front, while Adam, Peter, Wendy, Belle, Pocahontas and John were on the bed. I could see Belle reading silently to Adam as he slowly started falling asleep. Pocahontas was making weird hand motions and John would imitate her. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I think she was showing him sign language. Wendy talked excitedly while Peter rested his head on his hand as he watched her with wonder in his eyes. I could tell she was telling him a story.
I smiled to myself as I looked ahead of them and saw a small looking town. The thing that got my attention was that this town had huge walls surounding it.
I turned back and saw Rapunzel sleeping with her head against the window. Jack was leaning into her shoulder as a small amount of drool escaped his mouth.

I chuckled as I reached over and tapped Jack's leg until he softly groaned and woke up.
" we're almost there," I said.
He nodded before wiping some drool off his face and sitting up straight. Toothless lifted his head and stuck his tongue out before barking twice.
"Hey boy!!" I said happily.
Jack looked out the window towards the town and smiled widely for the first time in weeks.
"Oh hell yeah !" He shouted, while throwing his hands in the air.
Merida raised her head and rubbed her eyes before stretching and looking over at Jack.
" what the heck are you so happy about cotton ball? " she asked grumpy.
I shook my head and moved her head towards the walls.
Her mouth dropped.
Jack kept whooping loudly, scaring rapunzel awake.
"What's up?" Rapunzel groaned while yawning.
" Punze! ! Look!!" Jack exclaimed while pointing.
" Woah..." she gasped.
I was so happy.
This could be a chance of a new life,new beginnings,new families even.
Punze squealed loudly.
"Ohmygoshicantbelievethis.Guysthisourchancetotryandfindanewdreamandbuildourlivesback!!!" She said super excited.
Jack laughed and merida chuckled.
"Zel .. I don't know what the hell you said" Merida said laughing even harder.
"I'm just soooo excited !!! Aren't you Jack? "
"Oh mi gooshhh totally!" Jack said in a girly girl voice.
I couldn't couldn't hold in my laughter. His voice just sounded too funny.
" stop making fun of my best friend snowman!" Meri joked while reaching back and punching Jack's arm lightly.

We spent the rest of the ride talking about how we thought the town would be and what we wanted to do once we get there. Meri said that she really hoped they had running water so she could wash off all the muck on her skin and clothes. Jack wanted a hair cut(it was growing out. His brown hair was starting to show up). Punze wanted a long nap and I wanted to bathe Toothless he reeked. I mean im pretty sure I didn't smell any better, but gosh I could smell him from here. The closer we got to the town the more excited and anxious we got. I could tell that everyone else on Shane's truck was also very excited. They were looking through the side of the truck to glance at the town.
This is it. Its a new start.

Before we even got the chance to get out of the car. Snipers at the top of the walls had their aim on us.
I looked up at them before letting out a shaky breath, grabbing my bow and arrows (along with my gun), and getting out of the car.
Everyone else followed. Shane and Mulan had been off the truck already.
" WHAT'S YOUR BUISSNES HERE!!?" one of the watchmen shouted.
Mulan and Shane looked at eachother.
Shane looked up at the men and cupped his hands around his mouth.
" WE WERE WONDERING IF YOU WERE TAKING RECRUITS!!WE'VE BEEN OUT THERE FOR MONTHS!! THINGS ARE TOUGH OUT THERE!!!!"

"THINGS ARE TOUGH EVERYWHERE PAL!"

"PLEASE HELP US!!" Mulan shouted.
One of the watch men looked at his friend.
The friend ran off.
We waited for what seemed hours when finally a grown man around his late 40s showed up and looked down on us.
"WHAT YOU FOLKS HAVE TO OFFER !?" he asked.
Mulan looked at their supplies and every one in the group.
" WE HAVE A CAR, A MILITARY TRUCK ,SOME FOOD, AND MY PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO SCAVAGE ,HUNT, FIX ANYTHING AND HEAL. WE ALL HAVE SKILLS YOUR TOWN COULD USE!!"
The man(which i assumed was the leader) told one of the watch men something. The watch men then nodded and walked away.
All the men at the top of the walls ran off leaving us at the bottom waiting for an answer.
I started tapping my foot and crossed my arms. Jack rubbed the back of his neck. Hiccup blew some air into his cheeks and looked around. Rapunzel looked down and played with a strand of her hair.
I looked down then I held a rusty sound. A metal door at the bottom of the wall squeaked open. The "leader" stepped out with eight men at his side. They were all holding guns aiming at us and walking slowly toward us.
" I have a whole town to care for. I could use helpers," The leader said," but I need to know if you are all trust worthy and can stay committed. "
Mulan looked at us again before she turned back. " We all are. We need safety. Your walls look secure, so yes we'll work and in return we would like safety and nurishment."
The leader seemed to think about it for a while before he let out a sign," fine..but I'm going to need you to hand over your weapons. You can check them out if you need to. They'll be in the armory. I'm going to interview each and everyone of you. If you seem fit to work here , you can stay. If not, you leave."
I nodded.
One of the men beside him dropped a duffel bag on the floor.
"Fill her up." He commanded.

I stepped up and one by one we dropped our weapons nd supplies in the bag.
As soon as the weapons were all in the bag,the man smiled at us.
He turned away and we followed.
"OPEN THE DOOR!!" He shouted.
I heard the sound of a squeak latch before the door opened.
