Overrun By the Dead 💀

Jack*
My heart stopped as I saw the creepers pull and lift Rapunzel out of the car. I pulled my gun out from my jeans and started to shoot at them. They let go of her hair,but they were still trying to get in.
My gun clicked empty. Shit. Merida then flicked out her gun and started to shoot. Blood blasted all over Punze and the car seat.
Merida's window shattered.
Just then the car finally started to move. Just in time to avoid Merida getting bit. Creepers still hung on to the edges of the windows as we drove off at full speed.
Merida and Rapunzel broke off fingers and soon the coast was clear.
What.the.actual. fuck.
That was too fucking close!
We drove for 20 minutes before someone actually spoke up.
"Stop the car." I heard Meri say from the back.
"Why?" Hic asked.
"Stop. The. Fucking. Car." She snarled.
Hiccup did what he was told. As soon as he did, Merida opened the door and stomped out. Her face was really red.
Hiccup stepped out too "where are you going Red?"
" You fucker!!! You almost got us all killed!!" Merida shouted at him. Hiccup sighed then shut the door leaving Punzie and I alone.
We watched silently as Hiccup went around the car to talk to a very pissed off Merida.
" You ok? " I asked her.
" Yeah I'm fine."
" That was a really close one"
" It was.. But I don't think we should get mad at Hic."
Punzie's words stuck to me for a little. He did try to help us. Going back was complete suicide.. Going forward was also but he did try to drive through them and not just stop the car in the middle of the herd of creepers. I let out a breath.
"Yup you're right Punzie."
" we should go back to Al's group at least they have a roof and supplies. "
" Yeah you're right it was kind of stupid to leave in the first place"
She chuckled.
" Yeah I suppose."
She looked out the window to Hiccup and Meri.
They were yelling at each other.
"I hate it when they fight" I heard Punzie whisper.
" Me too. "
" Remember when we were younger and we used to go to park.. Lay under the sky and just watch the stars?"
I smiled at the memory.
"Yeah I do. Those were some of our best times.. Well kinda. Remember when we all went on a road trip?" I couldn't help but laugh.
" oh my god yes!" Punzie started laughing also," Hiccup read the whole way, got car sick and puked all over Merida"
" her reaction was priceless" I laughed,"she tried telling him it was ok as she was gagging and Hiccup was totally freaking out"
"Remember the bar?" Punzie asked.
" Yep!"
At that moment Merida and Hiccup opened the car doors and climbed in.
I busted out laughing so did Punzie.
"What's so funny?" Meri asked us.
" The bar!!" I laughed.
Merida blushed,"for the last bloody time! Nothing. Happened!"
I glanced at Hiccup. He too was blushing.
" Yeah gettin those fake IDs was a bad idea," he said as he rolled his eyes,turned around and started the engine. He stepped on the gas and we were off, back to the group.

It was now dark.
We had decided to stop the car and rest. Hiccup's silent snores filled the car as well as Merida's. I was the only one awake. I couldn't sleep I was too scared someone or something would find the car. I looked out the window and tried to glance up at the stars. A few shone brightly others were shining dimly, but they were there... then I saw the moon. It was so big and so bright.. And for a moment I wasn't scared anymore. I smiled up at it. That was favorite thing about the sky, the moon.
" what are you doing?"
I glanced behind my seat and saw Punzie awake.
"What does it look like?" I asked smirking at her.
"Stalking the moon..I always knew you had a thing for it" she said smiling.
I looked away. I remembered the times.. The times in which.. Punzie and I had dated.
We had tried a few years back, but her mother never approved of me because I had a history with the cops and had piercings and such,but that didn't stop us. I would climb rapunzels large brick house until I got to her balcony. Then I'd step in her room and we'd talk. We could talk for hours if we wanted to.
Her mother ended up finding out and didn't let Rapunzel go out at all. She took up her phone and took her out of school and started home schooling. Punzie then concluded that the relationship wouldn't work out.. And that's what happened.. I still love the shit out of this girl, but I have no idea if she still has it for me. I just figuared it's better to stay quiet.
I glanced back at her.
"Go to bed Punzie"
" Bu-"
" Go to bed. I need you well rest tomorrow "
I could feel her disapointment as she laid back in her seat and slowly fell asleep.
Hiccup*
I had woken up in the middle of the night. Jack was still awake. I told him to go to bed and I'll take over. He did what I said.
I started driving again. I couldn't help but feel guilty for yesturday. They couldve died because of me. I shoved those thoughts away and focus on driving.
The sun came up and I watched as Al's shelter slowly came into view. I let out a sigh of relief and picked up my speed. I shook Jack awake while keeping my eyes on the road.
He grumbles before waking up.
"Wake up the girls we're almost there. " I said.
"Guys" he said quietly.
He shook Rapunzels leg.
I looked through the rear view mirror and watched as her eyes fluttered open.
"Good morning princess" Jack said to her.
She just looked away quickly and lightly poked Merida. Merida groaned and shifted in her sleep. She let out a really loud snore. Rapunzel fought back the laughter while putting a hand over her mouth. Jack didn't bother he just laughed out loud. I couldn't help but snicker my self. Merida then jolted up because of Jack's laughter.
"Wha- what?" She asked.
" Nothing sleeping beauty," I said smiling.
I saw her blush as red as her hair and Punzie shoving her while giving her a smirk through my rear view mirror. I smirked and looked back at the shelter. We were just a block away when I saw someone I knew.
My heart sunk.
There stood Herc ,infected. He was stumbling around looking for someone to sink his mouth into. Skin was missing all around him and tissue hung off his body. He looked at us with his pearly white eyes and charged at us. I put down my window in a hurry. Herc slammed into the car with all his might. It was hard to hold him back because of all the muscle but with the help of Jack I was able to stab him three times in the eye before he fell back limp.
"I hope everyone else is ok" I heard Punzie said.
"I sure hope so too," I answered. I steped the gas again and stopped in front of the shelter.
It was totally over ran by infected.
"We have to go inside! Someone may still be in there!" Punzie said almost panicking.
"We can't Punzie," Jack said,"You could get bit and-"
"Stop treating me like I'm a baby Jack! I can take care of myself"
"Guys chill. Jack's right we can't go, better lose one person instead of all of us." Merida said.
"But what if there's more than one Merida! " Punze said.
Everyone stayed quiet after that.
I took out my hand gun and loaded it.
"You can't be seri-"
"Oh I'm serious Jack" I said"those people might need help. Maybe they aren't alive, but I won't be able to live knowing I didn't try and save anyone"
"Im going" Punze said smiling.
"No you're not lass" Meri said.
"Why?!" Punzi shouted.
"Jack and Merida are right Punzie.. You could get hurt. "
She looked away and crossed her arms.
"I've been with you guys this whole time" she mumbled.
"Stay in the car Punzie. We'll be back"
She didn't answer.
Jack exhaled sadly then looked at me and nodded.
We crawled out of the car and snuck past the creepers quietly. All those years of hunting paid off. We finally reached the door to the shelter and Jack picked the lock. We got in quietly and breathed quickly.
" the door was locked which means they are alive in here or were outside when the creepers came along. " Jack explained.
Meri and I both nodded. We walked along the halls and walked towards the main room.
We opened the door to reveal Al's group.
Meg was crying. Jasmine was bleeding from her side. Al was at her side bandaging her. Ariel had glass sticking out of her foot and Eric was pacing back and forth.
"What happened? " I asked. They all looked at us surprised.
"We were attacked by those things after you guys left. We were outside bringing in supplies when that herd just tried to get us... They were gaining up on us. Jasmine got hurt. Ariel lost a shoe then got glass stuck in her feet and Herc.. Oh Herc... Meg tripped and... They started getting ready to pile on her but he... He threw himself on them before they could bite her. " Eric said softly.
"It's all my fault" Meg cried,"we're all gonna die"
"No we're not " Jack said " we're getting out of here."
"Guys..." Jasmine said," I'm bit".
Merida**
"What do you mean your bit?!" Al asked.
"I mean I'm bit Al look!" She shoved her hair away from her shoulder. There was a scratch and a bite neatly printed on her tan skin.
Al slowly exhaled and put his hands over his head as he paced slowly.
"Al we have to-"
"I know!" He shouted at Eric. Meg put a hand on his shoulder and he quickly shrugged it off.
" look we don't have a lot of time just do it" Jasmine said from the corner.
"No." Aladdin stated.
"Then give me your gun. I'll do it" she demanded.
"No." He said.
"Merida,"I looked at her ,"please."
She held out her hand. I held back a tear. I can't imagine having to take your own life.
"I can do it if you want" I said sadly. She nodded and closed her eyes. I cocked my gun and pointed it at her.
"Wait !" Al shouted.
He looked at her.
" I love you.." He said as a tear left his eye.
"I love you too Al" she said.
He looked at me and nodded.
Everyone stepped back. Jasmine closed her eyes and I pointed the gun at her again.
" I'm coming father"she whispered then I pulled the trigger and her body laid out on the floor. Al walked up to her crying and laid her on the ground like they do at funerals. He put a white flower in her hand. Then Meg got a white table cloth and Al and Eric laid it over her.
That's when we heard the creepers clawing against the walls.
Shit! The gunshot must've alerted them! I face palmed myself and started to run towards the exit.
Eric carried Ariel bridal style and sprinted after me. Everyone one following. Right when I was a hallway away from the door I heard a crash. I looked to my right. The creepers had found their way into a room by breaking down a wall. I closed the door to the room and ran faster. We made it to the last hallway when I creeper broke a small window and grabbed my curls. I screamed.
"Merida!" I heard Hiccup shout. Just then I heard a gun shot and the hands that had my hair were gone. I looks at Al's group ready to thank them.
"It wasn't us. " Hiccup said. I looked behind me and there stood a very brave and angry looking Rapunzel still pointing a gun at the window.
"Nice shooting kid!" Meg shouted.
Rapunzel smiled before turning around and sprinting away to the door. She opened it and as soon as she did arms popped up to grab her, but she kicked a pair away before lifting her gun and letting four loud shots fire.
Badass!
She then walked out. I followed close behind her. I brought out my bow and arrows and immediately started shooting away. Two at a time. Soon the whole group was out here helping out. Eric and Ariel were out here shooting too! Eric ran to a car while Ariel brought down any creeper that got to close to them. Before we knew it the creepers we're all laying on the ground dead.
We all got in our cars and drove off.
