THE NIGHT THE DEAD STARTED WALKING

The Attack

All that I could hear was my pencil running against my journal and the faint flicker and popping of small lit candle. Shadows danced across my pages and a small breeze that was entering through my small window slithered against my skin .
Jack was fast asleep in his bed snoring quietly. Toothless was laying against the door. He had a good meal last night. After our little chicken dinner, Toothless got the bones.
It's late and I know it is. We had dinner about 5 hours ago. The sun wasn't out though so darkness still consumed the earth. I slumber on my chair while sketching a bit. I listened to the quiet noises of mother nature as sleep slowly started to take over me.
I felt my head rest on top of my desk before i closed my eyes.

Gun shots erupted. I jolted awake.
Gunshots.
Peering through the window, I was absolutely shocked to see men at the top of the wall firing at something outside of the town. The sound of panicked increased in volume. Did the walkers get too close?
As if on cue, 2 loud gunshots sounded and two of Mufasa's men jolted back before falling liflessly to the ground.
Well, we're not dealing with walkers.
Screams were starting to come to life as more and more people gathered outside to see what the commotion was about. Some ran inside while others ran to the armory.
Suddenly, I heard the sound of screeching tires and a loud motor before a huge truck ran through our wall.
My eyes widened as my mind was finally able to process what was happening.
We were under attack!
Small objects were thrown from the truck windows. The objects were small and looked like metal. Dark gray smoke leaked out of the objects. The truck sped forward and began to make its way through out the town. Five more trucks showed up and again the small metal objects were thrown around. They also began to shoot out the windows.
My throat felt dry. My leg and arms weren't responding.
A sudden slammed door made me jump.
Merida stood at the entrance. Her red hair looked even wilder than usual. She had a white oversized t-shirt, some sweats and some grey running shoes, her bow at hand. She looked panicked and tired.
" Wake up Jack! We have to go! " she yelled.
I nodded before shaking Jack awake harshly.
He slowly sat up.
" Jack we're under attack hurry get dressed!"
I didn't have to tell him twice. As soon as the word attack was out my mouth he jumped out of bed and simply put on a blue hoodie and some khakis.
Jack grabbed his navy blue bag while I grabbed my black one.
We didn't have anything in it but we were planning on picking up some things. Toothless followed close behind me.
Downstairs the group was running in and out of rooms. Merida was talking rapidly to Mulan and Shang. Belle was sitting on a couch next to a crying Wendy and a comforting Peter. They were both trying to calm her down. Pocahontas was stuffing things into her woven bag and Every one else looked for anything that could be used as a weapon. I jogged towards Meri.
"...then We can go. It's not the best plan, but it's something."
"What plan ?"Jack questioned behind me.
Shang spoke up," We get a small group to sneak into the armory while Hiccup gets a car. Then Hiccup will honk the car horn 4 times so we know it's him in the car and the remaining group sneaks on. Hiccup will then drive north to the river and wait in case anyone gets lost or sepreated. Pocahontas and everyone else has the food. We need to get into the armory. We won't make it out there with out weapons."
"Well it could use a few tweaks but I think it's an okay plan," I said. We all nodded. I heard rapid small footsteps going down the stairs.
I faced the stairs and saw Punze going down the stairs. Her hair was a messy bun. She was dressed in a pink tank top, and spandex with black vans. Her lavender leather bag hung loosely on her shoulder.
"I'm ready," she said out of breath.
Merida nodded.
" Meri, Mulan, Jack, and I will sneak into the armory. The rest of you stay here and wait for Hiccup. We'll be quick. Don't let anyone else in. " Shang said.
" Wait. . I need to make a quick supply run to the hospital. Who knows what could go wrong. We might need the supplies."Punze said.
Shang stayed quiet for a few seconds before letting out a long breath.
"Fine."
Rapunzel smiled before walking towards the door.
" you guys be careful," she said.
" what? You're going by yourself?!" Meri and Jack asked at the same time.
She nodded.
" I got this. "
"PLEASE be careful," Meri sighed. " I will be. I know a safe way. I'll be back in a bit."
We all nodded.
She then opened the door.
Immediately, the sound of murder and caos echoed through out the house.
Shang ran out the door and we followed.

The people these idiots were killing off were turning into infected. The walkers were also getting in through th broken down wall. The invaders were driving around still. Some of them had gotten off their trucks and started scavenging and killing. We took cover with what we could. Cars, bushes, fences, trees, you name it.
At last, we finally came in sight of the armory. There was only one small problem. There were 6 guys in the armory... and they were armed... and pointing at us..
Guess they saw us coming
Great. Da. Da. Da. We're dead.
