Chapter 5

We landed in the middle of the village on a flat, stone topped courtyard.

"Alright we're here in Sand Town, so where's Briggan and Azula's place?" Star asks.

"Actually I don't know." I admit while looking around.

The courtyard was empty. There was nothing there but a fountain. In the corner of the square I saw a merchant packing up his shop for the night.

I walk over to him "Excuse me sir, I hate to interrupt your packing up, but can you tell me where Briggan and Azula live?"

He shoves a metal spoon into his bag and looks up "Ay lass, they live right over there."

I look in the direction where he was pointing "Thank you sir."

"You're welcome lassie, it's the least I can do for a traveler. You kids stay safe."

I gather my crew and we walk in the direction the merchant gave us. We eventually come to a small sand colored house and knock on the door.

"Well I hope this is the right house." Star says under her breath.

The door opens and Azula is standing in the doorway. She smiles "Well, well, well look what the sandstorm blew in. Come in my friends, wouldn't want ya outside in the dark at this hour."

Briggan is inside sleeping at their kitchen table. He is propped in his chair at an angle leaning against the wall.

"Heh, watch this." Azula goes over to him and basically shouts in his ear "Hey Briggan the Terra Army's in the village!!"

Briggan loses his balance and him and his chair fall backwards onto the floor. He shoots up from the floor "What?! I'm up, I'm up!! Where are they?!"

I laugh "Some things never change."

"Oh uh E-Essix?" Briggan quickly gets up off of the floor and rubs his head clearly embarrassed "What are you doing here?"

"They're on a mission brother dear, now would you be so kind as to wake up enough to hear them out?" Azula replies with her usual sass.

"So what kind of mission are you on?" Briggan asks.

"Master Chow sent us on a mission to find the four remaining Elementals." I answer.

"I've heard the legends of the Elementals, but there were five of them in the stories I've heard, you said there were only four left." Briggan replies confused.

"The fifth one was captured by Dr Rabies." I say darkly.

Azula's face changes from curiosity to a grim expression. "We must save him, Dr Rabies must be stopped."

"So which Elemental are you guys intending on going after first?" Briggan asks.

"Master Chow told us to start with Erde the earth Elemental." I reply.

"I recall he lives in an oasis in the center of the Jade Desert correct?" Azula asks.

"Yeah that's where we're supposed to be heading." Star says. "Which I still find hard to believe."

"Me and Briggan can take you there." Azula says suddenly.

"Wait what did you just say?" I ask in disbelief.

"We can take you there." Azula repeats again.

"How do you guys know where this mystical waterfall oasis is?" Star asks suspiciously.

Azula shrugs nonchalantly "Briggan and I happened upon it one day while we were coming back from a mission. It really is a magical place."

"Really, great!" Tiny exclaims excitedly.

"Wow you guys are unbelievable as always." I joke.

"It's a long way to go. We'll need to leave at dawn, you guys need to get some rest." Briggan replies.

"I'm fine with that," Star yawns "Just point me to the nearest bed."

"You guys can have the room at the end of the hall." Azula replies.

"Great, Star's out, peace!"
