Chapter 16

We had been flying for at least a couple of hours. I looked over at the rest of my group: Briggan was somehow flying while sleeping (how he could do this and not fall out of the sky you ask,I don't know, I'm not a Briggan expert), Azula flew close to Briggan (probably making sure that he didn't fall out of the sky) when she saw me looking back at her she shook her head exasperatedly and gave me a thumbs up. Erde was staring straight ahead, every now and then he glanced down at Iris (who was still running on the top of the water as fast as she had started out. That's some major endurance people). Star flew beside me, occasionally she glanced back at Briggan and laughed quietly to herself. Tiny had completely passed out in my arms and every now and then his leg would twitch. Ok, so no one tell Tiny this, but he is so cute when he sleeps!! I love the way his face looks so chubby when he- oh sorry...I'm spiraling...back to the story...

To keep myself awake, I dropped down to Iris and asked her how close we were to Palancar. "We're nearly there, maybe 20-30 feet out." Iris replied with a wave of her hand. "Oh, we're that close?" I asked. "Yes. You guys fly fast so you're able to cover more ground, or should I say air?" Iris replied with a smile. I couldn't keep myself from laughing "Wow, aren't you funny. I didn't know you were the joking type." "Yeah, Maximo always said that I'm the jokester." As soon as Iris said that her smile faded away. I dropped some more so I was even with her. I placed my hand on her shoulder "We'll get your brother back, I promise." "How can you be so sure?" She asked me.

"I've fought Dr Rabies before and won so you can trust my word that we'll get Maximo back." I replied sternly. Erde suddenly swooped down "Iris I would believe them if I were you. They are good kids at heart and I did not detect any lies from them in the desert. I would trust their word." Iris looked down "If Erde trusts you," she looked me in the eyes and I saw a fire that wasn't there before "then I do too."

Hello fellow readers!!

Don't you just love fourth wall breaks? They're always funny and hilarious to me to include because it feels like the character is really talking to you.
I just found out what they were officially called not too long ago so...

For anyone else who doesn't know what they are it's when the main character talks directly to the audience. Like how Spiderman will talk directly to the people watching it or like what Deadpool does in His movie.

Anyway explanations aside, I'm happy because this week is my last full week of school and then I have Monday, Tuesday, and then half a day Wednesday and then I'm out for summer!!
