A Warrior's Quest (Book 2)

Chapter 36

"Whatever, I'll just have to kill you again." Dark Essix said while drawing her sword. "Fine, but I won't go down without a fight." I said. "So you switch between your two consciousnesses, very interesting, but even with Onyx on your side I will still destroy you!" Dark Essix dashed toward me, she sung her sword in a huge arc (a move when normally used would break the defender's sword and cut them in half) , but I brought my sword over my head and countered it. The force from my counter sent Dark Essix skidding backwards. "Whoah, what power!" Azula exclaimed. "Yes, the Warrior Stone greatly increases her strength, stamina, and speed." Maximo said.

"Well now I guess it's my turn." I said. I lunged towards Dark Essix and slashed at her with my sword; she countered as I suspected, but she had no idea that she'd played right into my trap. Swiftly I grabbed her sword hand and twisted her arm, then with a quick twist of the wrist Dark Essix's sword clattered to the ground and skidded across the rock. Dark Essix growled and lunged for her sword, but I kicked the handle and it slid out of reach. Dark Essix spun around and clenched her fists, then she attacked with a barrage of punches and kicks. Thanks to my enhanced speed time seemed to slow down and I was able to dodge all but one low kick. My feet were taken out from under me and I fell on my back. Dark Essix laughed with satisfaction and aimed a punch at my head, quickly I rolled to one side and got back on my feet. Before Dark Essix could react I hit her with a roundhouse kick, a smirk crept across my face as I heard a rib crack as she flew backwards.

Dark Essix landed hard on the ground. Slowly she got back up, I noticed she was holding her chest on one side "Alright, you think you're so invincible, try dodging this!" Dark Essix spread her wings and jumped into the air, she lifted her arms over her head and a giant ball of black energy formed in her hands "Taste my ultimate attack Nightmare Destroyer!" Dark Essix threw the ball of energy and it hurtled towards me.

So let me tell you guys a story about how I hate mosquitoes...
So I go outside for like maybe 30 minutes yesterday and I come back in the house with 7 mosquito bites on one leg and 3 mosquito bites on the other. 10 freaking mosquito bites!! I HATE MOSQUITOES!!!

Ooh sorry, got a little carried away there... 😅
