Chapter 35

"Essix!" Star ran over to me "Are you alright?" I sat up and rubbed my head "Uh...yeah, I think so." "What happened?" Star asked. "I fought myself in a fight to the death, inside my mind." I replied. "Oh...well at least you won...I guess..." Star said awkwardly. "Briggan helped too, wait where is Briggan?"I looked around and sighed with irritation "Great not again!"

Dark Essix laughed "Did you lose something important Essix?" "What have you done with Briggan?" I growled. "He's safe and sound in my Nightmare bubble over there." Dark Essix pointed to a black bubble hovering over a cliff. "Fine. I'll just pop the bubble and get him back." "Not so fast. If you go anywhere near that bubble it will pop on its own." Dark Essix said. "So he has wings, he can fly you know." Azula replied sarcastically. "The Nightmare bubble paralyzes anyone in it in an eternal sleep of nightmares. Even if you managed to pop the bubble, he would never wake up. He'd plunge right into the lava below." Dark Essix crossed her arms and gave an evil smile. "What do you want from me?" I growled. "The same thing as before. There can only be one Essix, and I don't intend on going back to the Nightmare Dimension." Dark Essix replied "Do you accept?" "Fine, I'll play your little game." I hissed. "Essix you don't have to do this!" Tiny yelled from Star's arms. "Yes I do, or we'll never see Briggan again." I replied. "Ah and the real reason rings true again. Now hurry up and attack, or you're finished!" Dark Essix said.

"Essix wait!" I turned around and saw Iris, Erde, Maximo, Razor, and Blaze running down the hill towards me. "Let us help you in your battle." Erde said. Each of them took their necklaces off, each one had its according stone and pendant. Erde's stone was green with a gold leaf pendant surrounding it, Iris' stone was blue and shaped to look like a water droplet, Razor's stone was clear and it formed a swirling pattern with a light blue stone, Blaze's stone was bright red in the shape of a flame outlined with a thin gold line, and Maximo's was shaped like a golden thunderbolt. Each of them closed their eyes and the necklaces floated into the air and combined. They formed a bronze colored stone that was shaped like the markings underneath my eyes. Maximo gave the stone to me "This is the Warrior Stone, it will enable you to transform into Onyx." "Whoah really?!" I exclaimed. Before Maximo could say anything else the Warrior Stone glowed with a gold light, (which is weird since the stone is bronze) and I became engulfed in the gold light too. After the light cleared everyone gasped, including Dark Essix. "Onyx?! B-but how, I thought I killed you years ago!" Dark Essix said astonished. Another voice replied for me, this heroic voice had to be Onyx herself "You may have done away with my body, but my spirit lives on."
