Chapter Seventeen : The Confession

Joseph decided that it is the time for him to stay and leave Casedona. He should stay with his sister Anna and live as a true Feliciz, after all he already did what he could to be a good Casedona. He have to run away for him to save Anna.

Joseph is back for being a merchant who travels different cities to earn.

Anna smiled at him, "You look better if you are a merchant." Anna teases.

Joseph smiled, "Hey, I must say that I am more handsome with those decent clothes." he said.

"But you don't smile." Anna said and hugged him, "It is finally good to see your smile. Again." Anna said.

Joseph looked at him, "I'll bring you something when I got home." he said, "What do you want?" he asked.

"I want a fabric. I am pretty sure that Señora Agatha will love my new designs for her." Anna said.

Joaquin kissed her forehead, "Anna, please never come back to Sherlock again." he reminded and finally left.

Anna just laughed at him and went back on her work. She is now designing again clothes that Señora Agatha might like. She went to her bag to get her previous design when she saw the letter she wrote for Gaston.

She remembered that she failed to send it because of the accident that happened. What if I tell Gaston everything? She asked herself.

She went really excited, now she is imagining her life with Gaston. They will be happy family, have three kids who is just like there a father, a traveller. She will put up a boutique at Argona, Joseph will stop being a merchant and just remind her of how great her decision was.

Anna smiled, "I can't wait to see your face, Gaston." Anna said.

Anna went to the Dolores's house after she prepared her new designs to Señora Agatha. They are more beautiful than those previous designs.
Anna approached the guard but the guard of Argona didn't approach her, not even smiled at her. She just walked in and the guard said, "Don Gaston is in the office. Just wait for him at the lobby." the guard said.

Anna felt uncomfortable. This is the first time that the guards didn't approached her, since she was kid.

She just followed what the guard told her. What the hell is going on? Anna asked herself.

She went to the lobby and found Señora Agatha, "So, someone finally visited me, traitor!" She said.

Anna looked at her nervously, "I didn't designed Señora Margereth new clothes. Although she told me to." Anna said.

Señora Agatha's eyes went wide, "Really? Is she upset?" she asked.

Anna nodded, "She also wants to irritate you, Señora. She asked me to lie, that she want me to tell you that I made a dress for her even though I did not." Anna said.

Señora Agatha went happy, "I know I can rely on you." Señora said and hugged her, "Welcome, Anna."

"Thank you, Señora." she said and handed her the designs.

Agatha went more excited and happy when she saw that the new designs are more beautiful and elegant. She really wanted to have the dress and wear it so she can see the look of Margareth's disappointment.

Anna went to Gaston's office when she saw Gaston and a girl having sex on his table. They were so intimate that they never felt that someone is watching them, and it was Anna. Anna's tears fall and she went out of the office silently. She ran away from the Dolores Mansion crying.

Why not me, Gaston? Why can't you love me? Am I not enough? Am I not worth it?

Anna went to their hiding place, it is at the end of the Argona. There is a small lake and it is at peace. That is the first time that Anna went there crying, she is always happy everytime she go there, maybe it is because Gaston is with her. Now everything is ruined, her dreams with Gaston has suddenly killed, and she feels broken.

Why do I have to feel this kind of pain? Don't I deserve to be happy? Everything is taken away from me, my parents, my identity, my life that I deserve... And now the man that can't look at me the way I look at him, the man I love that can never love me back? Life is so unfair!

Anna stayed there for almost 5 hours just crying until...

"Anna." he heard Gaston's voice.

Anna looked at her.

Gaston sit on her side, "I was looking for you..." Anna feels that Gaston feels so uncomfortable, "About what you---" Gaston was stopped by Anna.

"Who is she?" Anna asked.

"She is Veronica of Athena. I met her there at a painting shop and she was lovely." Gaston said.

Anna looked at him crying, "Do you love her?" Anna asked.

Gaston nodded, "I do." then he cried.

"Why can't it be me?" Anna asked.

Gaston wiped his tears and looked to Anna, "Because you are the only girl in my life that I can not afford to lose." Gaston explained, "I am afraid that if we go madly in love then we will forget how happy we were when we are friends. I can't hurt you, I honestly say that I might hurt Veronica, but not you." he said.

Anna wiped her tears, "I am hurting. The moment I saw you giving yourself to her, it was like everything fell apart for me." Anna said, "I thought we are more than that." she said.

Gaston hugged her, "I am sorry, Anna. You are the best person I could ever have, I am sorry." he said.

Anna stood up, "I am happy for you, Gaston." Anna smiled, "Really I am." Anna said and walked away.

"Anna, I will not marry her..." Gaston said, "Not until you move on and treat me as your best man." Gaston added.

Anna smiled at him, "And if I marry someone, you will be my bride's maid, seriously." Anna smiled again and walked away and never look back.

One of the most painful thing that happened to Anna. The hardest goodbye without actually saying goodbye.
