Chapter Eighteen : Broken Hearts

Meanwhile, Joseph Feliciz is on his way to Sophia to sell some stuff. He also heard that Sophia is selling the most beautiful fabrics Anna can use. He is so excited to buy those fabrics but there is something that controls him to it.

That excitement is converted into suspicions. He felt that someone is following him so he became more observant about his surrounding. There is someone watching him, but he didn't actually know.

He went straight to his hotel room and get a piece of parchment and a quill and started to write a letter. After sealing it he went to the mail post and send it in there.

'Anna must know that I am no longer safe.' he told his self.

He took all of his things and went out of his room when suddenly, men who obviously older than him as he recognize he is a Sherlock guard. If he introduces himself as Joaquin then everything is gonna be over.

"Good day sir, is there anything you want?" Joseph remained calm and smiled at them.

The other men smirked, "You have a lot of explaining to do, merchant." he said.

He tried to escape but the other man hold his hand and punched him in the face now that he became unconscious. He was brought to a dungeon back in Sherlock, he were tortured. He was accused for stealing the necklace of the Casedona family and now Anna Feliciz is wearing it.

They tortured Joseph and asking him one question: 'Where did you got the necklace of The Casedona?' Joseph keeps on saying that he got in from a Jeweler but no one is believing him.

The guard stopped hurting Joseph when they saw the mark of a woman. It is a mark that symbolises the Casedona Family, it is a tradition that once a Casedona member turned eighteen years old they are entitled to have that mark to be a full-grown Casedona.

The guards went nervous when they finally saw the face, not Joseph, but Joaquin Casedona the one and only son of Señora Margareth and the heir of the Casedona.

"D-Don J-Joaquin." the guard said, "I a-am s-sorry." he said.

The guard ran and asked for help, they were all shocked when theyis saw the man that they tortured is none other than Joaquin Casedona.

Back to Anna's devastated feeling. She doesn't have any idea about what is going on to her brother. She is still broken and sad about what happened, now she has to stay away to Gaston so she could forget her feelings. Now she really feel terrible. I should have hide this stupid feelings. She told herself.

Anna arrived at her house feeling so broken, "This so painful." Anna said as she wipe her tears.

"How painful?" the boy asked.

Anna went shocke and when she looked at him she finally saw him, "Lucas! Oh my god what are you doing here?" Anna asked.

Her sadness was converted into happiness and excitement when she saw Lucas's face. They hugged each other.

"What are you doing here? How did you sneak in?" Anna asked.

Lucas just smiled, "Back door." Lucas said.

Then Anna finally remembered that she forgot to lock the back door, "Please don't tell brother about this. He will be mad." Anna said.

They both laughed until...

"What's the matter, Anna? What happened to the missing heiress of Casedona?" Lucas asked.

Anna smiled, "I made a terrible mistake." Anna confessed.

"What is it?" Lucas asked.

"I told Gaston about what I feel about him." She said.

"That's not terrible, Anna. It was amazing." Lucas said.

"It is, Lucas." she said, "It is the biggest, I told him about what I feel after I saw him making love to his girlfriend Veronica." Anna felt ashamed.

Lucas giggled, "That is terrible when you saw your best friend whom you love is having sex with someone. But confessing your feelings isn't terrible, Anna. It means to say that you are brave enough to tell what you exactly feel, but of course, whether  Gaston's reaction is what you want or what youn don't want then you have no choice but to accept it. At least he already know and you do not have to lie." Lucas said

Anna smiled, "Can I call you, Papa?" Anna joked.

They both laughed, somehow Anna felt comfortable and realized that her brother is lucky to have Lucas as a friend. He is so caring and honest and brave at the same time. He is kind too and sweet.

"Why are you here, Lucas?" Anna asked.

"My father commanded me to visit Señora Agatha Dolores and I decided to visit you." Lucas said.

Lucas stayed for the night, and they drink a little wine. Actually, Anna drank it all so she is so drunk. Anna has been crying, saying everything that she can't say if she is not drunk.

"Enough, Anna." Lucas smiled, "You are so drunk." Lucas is laughing.

Anna laughed too, "Oh no no no, Mr. Dela Paz I am Princess Theresa Casedona." Anna said.

Lucas laughed, "Okay, Princess Theresa Casedona it is bed time." Lucas lifted Anna and brought her to her bed.

Lucas placed Anna to her bed and suddenly Anna wrapped her hands to Lucas's neck and looked at him, "Will you love me if I became Princess Theresa Casedona?" she asked.

Lucas felt shock and then Anna pulled Lucas and kissed him, Lucas kissed him back and they are kissing until Lucas stopped himself, "I am not gonna take advantage with you, Anna. Never." Lucas said.

Lucas stood up, "I love you..... Gaston." Anna said then slept.

Lucas's tears fell and he wiped it, "I love you, Anna." Lucas said.
