Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Chapter One
Eighteen years since it happened and I still couldn't get it out of my head.
(Flash back)
I felt her breath on me, making me freeze and turn.
"Mama?"
She managed to smile, but she was weak, struggling to keep her eyes opened.
"MAMA!"
"Shhh, it's okay, I'm here."
"Emilia?"
Uncle Antonio made it to her and lifted her head. She looked up at him and he shook his head
making her cry.
"Mama?"
She turned her attention back to me and touched my face.
"You listen to your uncle okay?"
"No Mama, no."
Even though I was young I knew she was slowly fading away.
"Please baby, you have to, for me?"
She closed her eyes and tried to breathe, but she was spitting blood out of her mouth.
"I promise."
"That's my boy."
"Please mama, don't go."
"I love you."
(End of Flash back)
"Still working?"
I looked up from my laptop to see my aunt Emily and I nodded.
"I thought you could use some coffee."
"Thanks."
She came into what use to be my dad's office and placed a mug beside me.
"How are you doing?"
I shrugged, looking up at her, but looked back down. Her face made me want to go up to her and hug her, but she wasn't mama. My mama had a special way of making me feel like we were the only two in the world.
"Are you to go down tonight?"
I inhaled and shook my head.
"I don't know, I have a lot of things I have to take care of before I leave."
I heard her sigh and sit down on my desk, making me pull away.
"I said I don't know."
"Mais, it's been eighteen years, your mom and dad?"
"Don't talk about them!"
I stood up and growled at her.
"I told you never to speak of them in my presence!"
"You're going to be Alpha soon, you have to find a mate."
"I don't want one."
I looked away and huffed.
"I don't need one."
"So you're just going to stay alone?"
"It's better than..."
My heart ached just thinking about what happened to mom. She was taken away by that man and then tortured and beaten then killed all while pregnant, but she fought. I know she fought will all her might to protect me.
"Just go away Aunt Emily; I don't want to talk about it."
"Fine, but your uncle would like you to meet him downstairs."
