Millie's POV
I could barely hear a beeping sound and I felt stiff and in great need to use the bathroom.
I groaned and turned my head.
"Millie stay still baby."
I smiled.
"Maison?"
"No, baby it's Josiah."
I slowly opened my eyes to meet his.
"Hi."
"How you feeling?"
"Soar, very soar."
I tried to move, but could only manage a couple twists before I was in pain.
"Relax, you're heeling as normal, but you still have a long ways to go."
Then panic set in.... Emilia!
"Oh my god Emilia!"
I sat up and was in instant agony. Soon the door opened with Maison rushing towards me.
"Hey relax, it's okay."
"You're mom... Terrance... my mom..."
I started crying.
"It was mom."
"Shhh... it's alright, mom is in the room next door, we got her. Now relax."
I was laid back and that's when my eyes locked on his. The dark rings under his eyes, his hair which seemed all he did to it was run his finger through it and the bandage on his arm.
"What happened?"
He looked down and shrugged.
"Nothing, no big deal."
"You're mom, dad?"
"Your dad is with my mom and..."
He looked up at Josiah, so my eyes went towards him.
"What, something happen?"
"She's... she's..."
I looked back at Maison and reached out for his hand.
"What happened?"
"Fine, Millie, don't worry."
I shook my head and squeezed his hand.
"Tell me, what happened, what's wrong with her?"
"She's fine Millie, nothing for you to worry about."
I glared at him and attempted to get up. If he wasn't going to tell me, I was going to find out for myself.
"Millie, stop!"
I stopped, growling at him.
"Don't you use that tone with me!"
"I said not to worry about it, she's asleep anyway."
"You're lying to me, both of you! What happened, where's dad?"
"With mom."
Of course he would be.
"Let me see her, I just want to know if she's alright."
"Mills, she's fine and like Maison said, she's asleep, so it's best if we didn't go waking her up. Now, get back into bed."
