Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Millie's POV
"Will you go tell him already?"
We were currently mingling amongst the crowd and I could see Maison trying to avoid eye contact with me, but I couldn't help wanting to run over there and taking him back to our room.
"Tell him!"
"I'm scared, we didn't plan for this. I'm not even finished with school yet."
"So what? You said so yourself that it was a waste of time if you were only going to focus on being Luna."
"Yes, but you know how Maison is, he plans things and this was definitely not planned."
"And so what? If he loves you, then he'll want it."
I sighed and sat down.
"Millie!"
I looked up to see Emilia, my mom. Who would have thought that the mother of the man I loved would become more than a mother to me. When Maison and I got married, just six months after declaring our love for each other, she helped me with everything. She never pushed herself on me nor made me feel like I had to accept her, I just did. She was a better mother than my own and when my mother would come up, she was there to tell me only up lifting stories about her. She never said anything bad and I appreciated that.
When I moved, she was there to show me the ropes, introduce me to the people she knew from when she was younger and even helped me enroll in school. Even put Maison in his place when he got a little over protective.
When Maison and I got married, it was more than I could ever ask for. He wanted it at what was now our home and I was more than happy to let him have it. He also wanted it where his mother and his father had conceived him. I thought it was weird, but I understood. He wanted to remember his dad and the love he had for his mother. Emilia had a hard time, but when everything was said and done, he got his way.
"Millie honey, what's with the face?"
I looked over at Maison and he was staring at me, but I looked away.
"Nothing, just tired, it's been a long day."
"Then go back to your room, relax, I'll send Maison up later so that you'll have some quiet time."
Even though it sounded nice, I really just wanted quiet time with my husband. We've both been so busy and I know he's still mad at me for taking up all those summer classes when I promised to be with him, but I wanted to finish school faster, sooner so that I could stay with him.
I sighed, shaking my head, getting up from the table.
"Come on I'll take you."
"No, I think I can go on my own."
I took a deep breath and gave them both a kiss.
"Feel better, call me if you need anything."
"I will."
I took the first steps and headed over to our villa.
Maison's POV
I watched her and something was wrong. She was looking tired and a little pale, but every time I tried to get her attention she would ignore me.
Then mom looked at me as Millie got up and went towards the exit. I was about to go after her, but Christian stopped me.
