Emilia's POV
I was starting to get restless and I was able to leave the hospital and back to my apartment, but now I felt too alone and Ben hasn't been answering my calls, so I called the only other person.
“Hi love."
“I'm out."
“What? When? Why didn't you call me?"
“I figured you'd be too busy and well I wanted to get home and take a shower, eat and relax."
“I could have picked you up, I would have made you dinner, even bathed you."
I smiled; this full mating was really getting intense. Anytime I thought about him, it was a burning sensation that only a release would take care of and now that burning sensation was a scorching heat.
“Come over?"
“Oh baby you know it."
“Good I'll wait for you here."
I gave him my address and waited. It didn't even take him the full hour before there was a knock at my door. I ran to it, only to find a familiar face.
“Well hello."
I quickly closed my robe and huffed.
“Where have you been? I've been calling you all day."
He smirked and came in stumbling.
“Oh Ben are you drunk again?"
I helped him into the apartment and onto the couch.
“I'll get you some water."
Before I could turn, he grabbed onto my waist and pulled me onto his lap, opening my robe.
“Who were you waiting for?"
“Christian is on his way."
He growled and let me go, letting me up.
“Ben I tried to call you, but you weren't answering."
He smirked, getting up himself.
“Ben, wait!"
“No, I get it, he's your mate and you want him."
“You promised Ben, you knew this was going to happen."
“You also promised not to get all worked up about him again."
“Yeah well it's pretty hard now that he's marked."
I said the last part quietly but when he growled and pinned me down on the couch; I knew he heard.
“You did what?! Are you insane, do you know what that means?!"
“It just happened! I didn't mean it, but he made me better. He healed me."
“I don't care if he gave you the world; you weren't supposed to bite him!"
“And when do you decide what she does?"
Ben growled and looked back, but never letting up from me.
“Since you almost had her killed."
Christian when to grab him, but I jumped up and pushed him away.
“No!"
He looked at me shocked and growled at me.
“You're defending him?!"
