Chapter Twenty
Emilia's POV
I felt him even before and I turned, readjusting the strap over my shoulder.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"To see my family, I told you this already."
"And didn't I make myself clear that you were not to go?"
I rolled my eyes and smirked.
"And since when do I listen to you?"
"You're not going."
My flight was then called and I turned around and walked away, feeling his anger, but I had to go, I needed to go.

Two flights and eight hours later, I was finally home. I took a deep breath and made my way over to the gate to see my sister and Antonio smiling at each other and Maison to the side rolling his eyes. It was almost as if Mauricio was here again, just like I had seen him for the first time.
"Hey mom."
I looked up and smiled.
"Hey baby."
He took my bags and I walked over to my sister who was now locking lips with Antonio.
"Hey didn't your mother ever tell you, that's what the bedroom was for?"
She froze and slowly turned around only to scream and run into my arms.
"Oh Emilia!"
I hugged her back feeling just the same way that I couldn't hold my tears in any longer.
"Hey Emily."
"It really is you."
"Yeah."
Then she hit me.
"Ouch Emily!"
"Why didn't you ask me?!"
I sighed and shook my head.
"It's not that I didn't want to, it's just that it was better this way."
"I thought I lost you."
I squeezed her and pulled her away, taking her head in my hands.
"You didn't, I was always here and always will be."
"Until he comes back for you."
"Let's not talk about that alright? How's everything?"
Her face lit up and turned to Antonio who was patiently waiting with Maison.
"Hey you."
He smiled and we hugged.
"Good to know you're okay."
I nodded and pulled away from him, looking up at his eyes. Those eyes that reminded me so much of Mauricio.
"How are you?"
He smirked looking up to my sister then back at me.
"Better."
I nodded and turned to my sister.
"How are the kids?"
Her eyes lit up and went to her husband, wrapping her arms around his waist.
