Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Vince's POV
"Vince, calm down."
"I can't! They've been in there for over an hour and where the hell is my brother?!"
"Vince please, you're scaring me."
I stopped pacing the hallway and looked back at her, with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I just..."
That's when the door opened and what looked like mom came out. I froze, not knowing it was her or not, but then her eyes met mine and I looked away towards Josie.
"You must be Vince."
I nodded, taking Josie into my arms.
"Do you know where I can find Maison?"
"He's went to get his mate."
She sighed and came up to me, placing her hand on my shoulder.
"You think I hate you don't you?"
I looked at her and she smiled. She was just as beautiful as mom, but her eyes don't show as much emotion as mom's. Her hair was shorter and had a more brownish tone to it when mom had a little more red.
"I don't know you."
"I'm your aunt. I'm sure your mother told you about me, right?"
"She did."
"And I'm guessing this is your mate, Josie?"
Josie smiled and nodded.
"How are they?"
She turned back to me and for a second I saw a flash of anger before she pushed it back.
"I don't know how Taylor knew where to get it, let alone make enough, but we managed to bring them both back."
Josie jumped in my arms, but as I looked at her, something wasn't right.
"Vince, didn't you hear her?"
I turned my head and smiled at Josie.
"Why don't you go call Millie and see what's holding them up?"
She nodded and pulled away.
"I'll be right back."
We kissed and then I turned to her.
"I'm guessing you only wanted mom and not dad."
She looked down then and I smirked.
"Look, hate him if you want, hell hate me too, but this is about mom and if he makes her happy then..."
"I brought him back for her, that's it."
"Then that's all that matters. Mom has fought too hard to be with him..."
"She fought to get away, get your facts straight."
I growled.
"Both of you stop, Vince, come see your parents."
I looked away from her and went in to see mom and dad cuddled up together.
"Hey baby."
I smiled and went up to both of them.
"You scared the living lights out of me."
"Blame her."
Mom slapped him, but she was only playing. It was good to see them both alive, but still weak of course.
