Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Christian's POV
I watched as he stood up and sat on his bed.
“Alright, let me hear it."
I didn't expect him to let me, but I was glad he did.
“Let's take a walk."
As soon as we were outside I took a deep breath.
“So how much has your mom told you about us?"
“As far as I know there is no “us" just you and her."
I laughed, oh if she only knew that I wasn't going to allow her to get away that easily.
“Well besides that, what has she told you?"
“She basically started from the beginning when you and she met. She was pregnant, you were nice to her, helped her out whenever you thought she didn't notice. You confided in each other, she didn't judge, you didn't lie."
“She was great at that."
“She also mentioned that you bought her off her father."
“I didn't buy her, I bargained with her father to allow her to marry me. She was someone else's mate, you can't just take a mate from someone else without permission, at least back then you couldn't."
”So you didn't buy her?"
“I wouldn't say that, it was more of a trade. He wanted land and I wanted your mother so we traded and I'm sorry but your mother agreed to marry me, she could have said no."
“Yeah, but she didn't want to disappoint her dad."
“Well she did anyway when he caught her screwing Maison's dad behind my back and to think I thought your mom could never betray me like that."
“He was her mate, she couldn't resist him."
“Now that's bull shit. Your mother ran away from him, she allowed your grandfather to remove his mark and he did nothing to stop it! I'm sorry but your mother was playing both of us. It's why she was marked by force by him and she allowed me."
“She didn't mention that."
“Yeah well you ask her and you'll see. I maybe mean and ruthless at times, but I have my reasons and reasons only your mother gives me. She called me when Maison's father threatened to take Maison away and I came to her rescue. I was always there for her and all I wanted was for her to love me back."
“She wouldn't have me if she didn't at some point."
“Now that's where you're wrong. If she loved me she would have told me, let me raise you as mine and trusted me to take care of you, but she didn't."
“She thought she was protecting me from her family. She didn't know how they would have acted if they found out she was carrying your child and she was afraid that if you found her that you would have done worse."
“Worse in what?"
“Well you really didn't treat her well the last couple of months she was with you. It was her wedding day and you just couldn't allow her to be happy?"
“It was my wedding day; your mother didn't even put any effort into it."
“Would you have if all she did was ignore you, put you down and screw someone else behind your back."
“She did."
“No, she didn't. You in your mind think she did, so instead of working through it like you should have, you used her, manipulated her and lied to her. You punished her for your faults not the other way around."
