Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Millie's POV
I could clearly hear them yelling at each other, but that wasn't my concern at this point. I needed to find out everything I could about his mom.
I went into his office and closed the door behind me and quickly started going through everything. For an unknown reason I really wanted to know about the photo album that dad took time to see every year. I was at his bottom left drawer when it didn't open. I knew this is where I would find it.
Taking my lock picker, I opened it and saw the drawer had more than just a photo album. There were framed photos of her and dad. My heart became faster as I picked one out and focused on them. She was beautiful, Maison definitely had her eyes, but I'm sure he looked more like his dad. I put that one back and took another, of just her and Maison. I smiled, Maison was the cutest kid and from the picture it was understandable why he loved his mother so much. I bet he would want the picture, so I took it. I then grabbed the photo album and opened it just as the door opened.
“Emiliana!"
I shook my head and covered my mouth, looking up at him.
“You were married to her? You took her away from her family and married her?"
He came up to me, but I backed away.
“How could you?"
“I didn't do anything! She loved me, she married me because she wanted to!â€
I shook my head and picked up the album.
“Then why doesn't she look happy?"
I took the picture I had earlier and put it side by side.
“There is a difference. He was telling the truth, you..."
“Emiliana..."
“No! I want to know the truth! Why daddy? Why did you take her away when she didn't love you?"
“She did love me, keep looking."
I looked back at the album and turned the page. She was smiling, but her eyes, her eyes said it all. They weren't the same as when she was with Maison.
“She does love me."
I looked up at him.
“Did, dad, did because you killed her didn't you?"
“No I didn't!"
“Then who did?!"
“Rogues."
“Rogues, but..."
“I did what I needed to do! He was going to win if I didn't do something! I didn't know they would end up killing her, but I prefer her dead than with him!"
“So you took her."
He looked at me and frowned.
“What are you talking about, I took her?"
“Maison said she disappeared after the fight, from the hospital and that you would be the only one who would do something like that."
I saw dad turn pale then bright red, growling, storming out of the office. I took my que to grab the book and run out of there. I ran straight to Vince's, knocking on his door.
When he didn't answer I went in and ran up to his room to find him with Josie.
Josie's POV
As soon as everyone was in bed I snuck out and to the creek where I knew I would find him. I slowly walked up to the edge and took off my clothes to reveal a bathing suit. I whistled and he looked up, locking eyes with me. My heart was pounding, god he was my hot there with his cowboy jeans on and his light brown hair cut short enough to still run your hands through it and slick it back.
