Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Millie's POV
I walked through the halls ignoring everyone, except one person. As I approached them, they instantly noticed me.
“Hey."
“Hey."
“Wanna have lunch together?"
She nodded and we both made it out to the food stand.
“How you holding up?"
I could see she didn't have enough sleep and I knew being away from Vince this long wasn't helping.
“I miss him."
“Which one?"
I had to ask, know if she wanted Maison instead of Vince.
“Don't worry, Maison is just a friend. I wouldn't take someone else's mate even if my mate doesn't want me."
“And I wouldn't get in your way if you did want him."
She was obviously shocked when she heard what I said. I bought us some pizza and a soda then headed towards the tables.
“Millie are you serious?!"
I shrugged and sat down.
“It's obvious he doesn't want me."
“He doesn't know you."
I smirked, looking at her.
“But he knows you and if you want him then don't worry I won't try to stop you."
“I don't want him. I love Vince even if he is mad at me right now."
“He needed you Josie, I was even mad at you."
"Do you think he meant what he said about not wanting to see me again?"
I smiled and shook my head.
“No, he was just mad and hurt, but I would at least try to explain yourself, grovel maybe?"
She sighed and nodded, taking a bite of her food.
“I have to tell you something though and before you get mad or panicked, you need to know it's not what he wanted."
She looked at me and I told her what happened with her mark on him, but she wasn't surprised.
“You mad?"
She shook her head.
“I knew last night, I felt it and I don't blame him if he did."
"He didn't, dad did and he had no right, but the good thing is that you don't have to worry about another girl claiming him."
I tried to make light of the situation and nudged her a little making us both laugh.
Josie's POV
I know she was trying to make me feel better, but in all reality, I felt like crap just thinking about what I had done. Vince telling me that he didn't want to see me again was repeating itself in my head over and over again. I needed to talk to him and see if he was alright.
So after school I rode home with Millie and we tried to find him, but he was nowhere in sight.
“I'm sure he's probably with his mom."
I nodded and sat down on the porch of his house when I saw his car pull up. I didn't move, but my eyes were fixed on him as he got out and closed his door. He didn't move, instead stood behind his car as I sat there hoping he would make the first move and when he didn't, I stood up. I took a deep breath and made my way down until I was in front of him.
