Between two Alphas (Part 2) Between Love and Hate
Two years later....
It was beautiful weather for the end of summer. The sun was slowly lowering itself for what looked like to be a perfect sunset on such a glorious day. The water was calm, the sky was clear and there wasn't a breeze in sight. Some would say this was the calm before the storm, but not in my book. This was the calm after the storm, where everything finally fell in place and gave us the peace we've all been fighting and waiting for, for so long.
Looking back I never thought I'd see the day, let alone live to know what it was to feel this happy. Life had not been easy and at times very cruel. If I'd change anything it would be that faithful day I hurt him, maybe if I didn't, none of this would have happened. Life would have been easier, but then again, life isn't meant to be easy and free of mistakes. Mistakes are meant to happen and promises broken, but it's when one mends those mistakes and promises that life's lessons are learned and lord knows I've learned mine.
Now, all there is left to do it is live the second life god has given us and pray that those after me do not suffer as I have, that life isn't as cruel, but joyful and understanding and most of all loving, like today.
"MOM YOU'RE NOT READY?"
I turn to see two pairs of eyes looking at me and I smile.
"Emilia, we're going to me late!"
I laughed, going back inside.
"Relax, let them sweat a little."
I wink as they laugh and I finally step into my dress.
"There all done, now let's go!"
"I'm just saying if Dad, Maison and Vince get mad..."
"I'll deal with them, now keep walking."
We headed down to the lobby all three of us smiling and I don't know about them, but I was sweating bullets.
"You look really beautiful Emilia."
I smiled and was about to say something when the doors dinged opened and both my sons were there waiting for me.
"You're late!"
I laugh and let the girls out first.
"He's already nervous mom."
"Cheeze you would think I'm the kid here and not you two."
"Mom, come on..."
I sighed and nodded.
"I'm coming, just help me with this."
I handed Vince my flowers and picked up my dress.
"I'm too old for this."
"You are not!"
"You look beautiful and I'm sure Christian is going to really appreciate it this time."
I raised an eyebrow at him. Maison still had his issues and doesn't always keep them inside.
"Really Maison, right now?"
"Don't listen to him Mom."
"Millie..."
"Maison..."
"Alright you two, stop."
"Mom, let's go."
Vince took my hand and guided me out of the hotel and onto the walk way.
