I walk up the next morning, in my bed. I'm not really sure how I got here. I must've fallen asleep in the Parlor with Enoch. He... carried me here?  Aww ain't he nice.

Everything has suddenly changed now. I kissed Enoch, twice, and I managed to fall asleep without nightmares plaguing my unconsciousness. Wow. The things that change in the exact same day.

I get up and get dressed, then go downstairs. I eat breakfast with everyone, just like every other day I have spent in this loop. I think I have been here for three days, but who's counting anyway? Why bother? It's the same bloody day! Looking at it like that, hypothetically, I have spent only one day here, because it is the same day, blah blah blah, whatever, my brain hurts thinking like this.

I spend some of the morning with Emma. Jake came a bit earlier today than usual, so he stole Emma away midmorning. I didn't tell her what happened last night. Enoch and I agreed we should keep it under wraps for a little while before everybody finds out.

But then everything changes again. Fiona and I were in the kitchen, cooking some vegetables for lunch while Miss Avocet rests in a basket on the table. When suddenly Miss Avocet flaps out and transforms into her human form. She flops down, splayed out on the floor.

"Are you okay? Miss Avocet?" I exclaim, getting down on the floor to help my ymbryne.

"I'll get Miss Peregrine!" Fiona exclaims and runs out.

"Y/N?" Miss Avocet whispers weakly. "Are you alright? Where's Miss Peregrine?"

"I'm fine! Miss Peregrine's coming, just wait, she's coming!" I ramble, grateful that she is okay.

"I'm right here!" Miss Peregrine exclaims as she vigorously walks in, closely followed by Emma and Jake. Miss Peregrine lightly grasps Miss Avocet's shoulder. "I'm here."

"Help me up." She says and Miss Peregrine and I direct her to the nearest chair. Fiona then runs in with the rest of the peculiars in the loop.

"Oh Miss Peregrine." She sighs as her sinks down into her chair. "They found my new loop. The children... Y/N and I tried to save them but there were so many hollows... I don't know how I escaped." She explains weakly.

"It's okay. You and Y/N are safe now." Miss Peregrine says as she embraces Miss Avocet.

"None of us are safe!" Miss Avocet says, breaking free of the hug. "They set up the machine in my loop. They put it in the cellar at Blackpool Tower. They're still there... They intend to do it again! This time, Barron's using more ymbrynes. He still wants to be immortal."

"Do hollows only attack peculiars?" Jake asks to know one in particular. Oooh. So somebody told him about hollows and wights and things. That's interesting, considering Emma was very against him knowing any of that stuff.

"Of course not! They're monsters, Jake, they'll slaughter anything in their path." Emma replies.

"Well, some sheep on the island were killed. You don't think they're here already, do you?"

Miss Peregrine takes a deep breath in, steadying herself. "Children, I'm sorry, but we cannot remain here. It is no longer safe. Pack anything of importance, we have to go. Now."

"Why?"

"Are we leaving for good?"

"When are we coming back?"

All the younger children chime simultaneously, not fully understanding what is happening.

"We aren't coming back." Enoch explains gravely to them. "If Miss Peregrine isn't here to reset the loop, it will close and our house will get bombed."

"But, our house..." Claire exclaims, tears starting to stream down her porcelain face.

"Don't cry!" Miss Avocet says. "Miss Peregrine will find you another lovely house... Somewhere else..."

Rushed packing begins all around the house. Clothes being flung here, belongings getting packed there. I help the younger kids get their stuff together as they are just shoving stuff everywhere and I don't really have anything to pack as I didn't bring anything of my own to the loop. I help Claire decide which one of her seven dolls to bring. I put the mute twin's one piece clothes into a bag. I place things into Bronwyn's trunk to help her as she is constantly getting distracted. I also help Enoch collect his jars of hearts while he packs his clothes.

I go to Emma's room and see if she needs any help packing, only to stop at the door before I enter. It is partially open and I can see her packing vigorously while Jake sits on her bed. I groan. Jake, mate, I know that you have nothing to pack of your own like me, but you could at least help the others so we can leave quicker! Get off your ass and go do something! Then I hear their voices.

"Once this loop closes, that's it! I can't get back to my own time." Jake says, exasperated.

"You didn't seem very happy there." Emma says bluntly. I get the feeling that they have been arguing for a while.

"I can't just leave! I have a family." He tells her. Hmmm. I wonder if that family knows where he is at the moment.

"And you felt ordinary! Like nothing you do changes anything. And, now you have a chance to do something that changes everything!" Emma exclaims, slamming her hand down hard on something. "Jake, we are in danger and you're the only one who can see the hollows." Okaaaaay, this is awkward. Emma wants Jake to stay, but Jake wants to leave. Damn, poor guy.

"Yeah, I see them sure but, I'm not my grandpa. I can't fight, I can't kill somebody..." Jake lets his sentence drop off. This only angers Emma.

"That is just an excuse! Don't Jake, don't bullshit me!"

"There's only one reason that I'd stay here..." Jake says. He doesn't have to finish his sentence for me to understand what he means. He'd only stay because of Emma. Because he loves her.

"Please... just go..." Emma says, as if she can't stand to look at him anymore. "Go back to your family!" She says, her words dripping with poison.

"Fine, I will! I'll leave the loop and go back. Goodbye Emma."

He gets up and exits the room. He gives me a half-smile out of politeness only and walks away as I walk in.

"Need any help packing?" I say.

"No, I'm fine!" Emma says, sharply.

"Look, Emma, you have to understand, he has more than just this. He has a family. And as much as he may belong here, you never abandon family."

She sighs. "I know. But I love him. I let Abe slip away from me. I don't want him to leave me either."

"He won't leave you." I tell her. "He'll always be in here." I poke her where her heart is. "Next to Abe."

"Thank you, Y/N. I needed to hear that."

I help her and the others pack for a while. After about thirty minutes have passed, we are almost finished. But that's where everything suddenly goes very wrong...

Hey. How was that chapter? Sorry that it was more about Emma and Jake than you and Enoch, but Emma is your best friend, I have to say in this fanfic what she is going through and her feelings as well. She is your best friend. You have to be there for each other. That's what friends are for!! (Wow, that got sappy and weird really quick, thanks Tamika...) This ain't a fanfic where it is just you, Enoch and a lot of kissing, sex and tonsil hockey halfway through the first chapter. It is about friendships, relationships, being who you really are and yes, you and Enoch. But it is also the other things too. Make sure you guys keep that in mind. If you didn't like this chapter (because Enoch wasn't really in it or whatever your reason may be) just a heads-up that next chapter WILL have Enoch in it. So don't just drop this fanfic because I didn't make you guys kiss again today. Please. Comment with advice and criticism for this (Both good or bad, I wanna know where I can improve so tell me!) or just something funny for me to read and I'll see ya all soon!
