Chapter Eight

Harlow swallowed the lump in her throat, her entire life was crashing down around her and there was nothing she could do about it. Both Jax and Aaron's eyes were on her not sure who she should be answering to first, she closed her eyes and looked over at Jax

"I can explain" Harlow said

"I think I've heard enough there is nothing to hear" Jax said backing away from Harlow

"I need you to listen please baby" Harlow said

Jax moved closer to Harlow "You don't get to call me that anymore"

Harlow swallowed back tears as Jax crossed his arms over his chest "Please just listen to me"

"I can't you betrayed me, betrayed my family, my brothers are we even married? Do you even love me?" Jax asked as tears threatened to fall

Harlow took a deep breath "I wasn't supposed to fall in love with you but I did"

"Then why are you still here? Why haven't you arrested me yet? huh?" Jax asked getting angry

Harlow closed her eyes as a few tears fell from her eyes "Because i wanted out, they wouldn't let me out. Because i refuse to take you in"

Jax put his wrists out in front of Harlow "Take me in you dirty conniving bitch"

Harlow choked back the tears as she shook her head "I can't, I can't bring you in Jax. I can't do that to our family"

"What family? The sham you created? You're father know about this? Do you have any idea what this is going to do to the kids? DID YOU THINK ABOUT THAT?" Jax yelled so loud Harlow felt her body jolt, he was right. What were the kids going to think, they just got their mother back and now they are probably losing their father

"No one knows, not one person knew I was working this case or any case for this matter. But i was the most potential candidate after my mother" Harlow said

"You're mother?" Jax asked taken back

"She wasnt supposed to fall in love with Happy. She was sent to bring him in and when she was about to she found out she was pregnant with me. So they pulled the plug on the whole thing and then when I turned eighteen they brought me in" Harlow said

"You are a sorry excuse for a person. I was an idiot for falling in love with you. A moron for marrying you and a bigger fuck up because I allowed you to bare my children" Jax said his face nearly touching hers

"I'm sorry" Harlow cried she knew nothing was going to save her, no words no actions

"Tsk Tsk Harley, if you only would of stayed with me then none of this would be coming out" Aaron laughed

Jax walked over towards Aaron and wrapped his hand around his throat as much as Harlow pleaded him not to, with his other hand he shoved Harlow back as his anger took over him

Jax sat at the island smoking a cigarette. His life was over. Harlow was able to fight Jax off Aaron and make him leave but she was told by Jax she needed to stay

"Did this make you happy?" Jax asked looking down at his bloody knuckles

"I never meant for you to find out Jax, not at all" Harlow said leaning against the doorframe

"How would that of happened? You're a fuckin fed Harlow" Jax said

"They aren't supposed to come to where I live Aaron did that deliberately because i wouldn't sleep with him" Harlow said

"That doesn't matter, what are we supposed to do now? I can barely look at you right now" Jax said turning his head away

"I'm so sorry Jax, I wasn't supposed to go in this deep, but then when you came up to the cabin with me to help me spread my mothers ashes I fell in love with you I knew it was over my career would be over" Harlow said

"You lied to me, all these years have been nothing but a lie and you expect me to just forgive you over a stupid love story?" Jax asked his eyes felt like they were burning a hole into Harlow's body

Harlow let out a sob knowing that nothing she said was going to fix this nothing was ever going to fix the fact that she betrayed her husband

Jax didn't know what to do, the one person he trusted more then anything broke his trust, he forgave her for taking off with Aaron for a whole month but this was something he could never forgive her for

"I didn't mean to hurt you Jax, I love you so much. You are the only person that I trusted, the only person I ever let in" Harlow said walking closer to Jax, she needed him to understand that she was going to throw everything away for him a criminal

Jax turned his head away from his wife as he looked down at his wedding ring, remembering the vows he spoke to Harlow the day they eloped in the city hall

I take you as you are, loving who you are now and who you are yet to become

Those words playing over and over in his head not knowing what to do. He felt Harlow's hand on his shoulder "Why didn't you tell me?" Jax whispered

"Because they would of pulled me and you would never see me again" Harlow said

Jax pushed Harlow's hand off of his shoulder and stood up

"I wish you would of, then I wouldn't have to deal with you for the rest of my life because of our children, now I have no choice but to look at you everyday for the rest of my sorry ass life" Jax said

"You don't mean that" Harlow said trying not to get angry

"I do, I wish I never met you. I wish I never was stupid enough to fall in love with you. Because then this wouldn't be so hard. It wouldn't be so hard for me to tell you that I hate you." Jax said as the tears welled up in his eyes

"Baby, I'm sorry" Harlow cried

"Save it. I don't want to hear it anymore. You are nothing to me now. Maybe you should of stayed with Aaron then you could live happily ever after, that's what you wanted right? You just wanted to be happy?" Jax asked

"I'm happy with you" Harlow said

"There's no reason to be, you betrayed me. Do you know what we do when people betray us?" Jax asked

Harlow pulled open the island drawer and pulled it all the way out pulling a hidden gun out from under the island taking the safety off and placing the butt towards Jax on the island

"Then fucking shoot me" Harlow said
