Chapter Twenty Three

Jax looked down at his phone as it rang for the third time in the last twenty minutes, he knew he should of answered it but he was busy. He couldn't answer the phone or it would cause alot of arguing and that was something Jax wasn't prepared to do. Although by not answering Harlow's call it could lead to worse things. But it wouldn't of been the first night this week he had been sleeping on the couch or locked out leaving him to sleep at Happy's place.

"You okay? you look a little lost?" the female spoke

"Yeah sorry its my wife, she's just calling me that is all sorry" Jax said as he shoved his phone away inside of his kutte

"Are you sure? We can take a brief break if you need to" she said again

"Nah, business is important and I think the Sons could help you escalate business quite well" Jax smiled

"Okay so lets get down to business" She smiled again

Jax walked out of the house with a smile on his face, knowing that this was the biggest deal they ever sealed on and it would make the Sons a large amount of money which meant that he could get the house that Harlow had been pegging for down the street for the last five months, right after she was cleared from the doctor to resume all activites she picked up walking as a hobby with the kids and she of course walked down a small cul de sac and saw a beautiful five bedroom house, Jax had to admit that he loved the house too when they went for an open house, but it was slightly out of their current budget and he hated seeing the disapointment on Harlow's face when he said they couldnt afford it right now. But now with this deal sealed Jax had enough cash in his pocket to make a down payment on the house that Harlow dreamed about

When Jax looked down at his phone he felt like an utter piece of shit. Hurrying to his bike he didnt even bother putting his helemt on as he tore down the street

"What the hell Jax you were supposed to be here already thankfully her bus didnt fuckin come yet" Harlow hissed as Jax ripped intot the driveway afraid that he was already late

"Jesus Christ babe I was busy, her bus isnt even here yet" Jax said

"She would of been pissed if you werent here to get her off the bus. You made a promise to her" Harlow said

"I know what I promised her babe settle down" Jax said as he took Tommy from Harlow's arms

"Make sure she picks the right one out please. where the fuck were you anyway you smell...like a cheap whore" Harlow said leaning over and sniffing Jax

"That would be Diosa, our new buisness associate" Jax said knowing he was about to get a ration of shit

"I swear Jackson I will kill you" Harlow said pointing her finger at him

"Babe I know trust me it was strictly business that is it" Jax said

"It fuckin better be so help me god" Harlow said as she watched Piper's bus pull up as Jax handed Tommy back to Harlow

Watching Piper step off the bus and run to Jax's arms brought tears to Harlow's eyes the love those two had for eachother was unbreakable

"Hey princess you ready?" Jax asked taking Piper's hand in his

"Yeah Daddy lets go find me a pretty bed" Piper smiled up at him

After kissing his wife goodbye Jax got into her Suv and headed to the store with Piper

"Listen princess we have to make one stop first before we go get your new bed" Jax said looking into the rearview mirror

Harlow was getting irritated Jax was taking longer then he was supposed to she needed to get to the store to grab a few things for dinner in a few days since Gemma had now turned over Sunday family dinners to Harlow, which was causing her a lot of stress considering this was the first one that she would be hosting. Gemma still offered to help along with Riley who had been hanging around a lot more lately. As Jax walked through the door Harlow was ready to leave

"Not so fast there babe" Jax said stopping her

"Jax i have to get to the market they have meat waiting for me" Harlow said

"I'll have my mother pick it up I have something i want to talk to you about its really important" Jax said sitting down while Piper went into the living room with the other kids

"What?" Harlow asked

"I did something today" Jax said looking down

"What the fuck did you do?" Harlow asked

"I sealed a deal today which you knew" Jax said

"Yeah and what Is your point? please dont tell me you had to sleep with someone to seal this deal" Harlow said as she ran her hands over her face

"No. No sex involved. I swear you are the only person I am sleeping with" Jax said

"Then what did you do that is so bad?" Harlow asked

"Remember that promise I made to you" Jax said

"Jax you have made several promises to me, a few in which you haven't kept" Harlow said

"Well im not talking about those. Maybe its easier to show you call your dad have him come over for a few minutes" Jax said

Harlow looked at Jax and called her father who willingly came over with Riley in tow

"Okay lets go" Jax said as they walked out of the house

"If you are bringing me some where to kill me give me the heads up please" Harlow said as she got on the back of Jax's bike

"Just shut up I'm not going to kill you. Atleast not yet. I enjoy your company too much" Jax laughed as Harlow strapped her helmet on

"I need you to close your eyes though it is a surprise" Jax said

"if i dont like I will hurt you" Harlow said as she screwed her eyes tight

It didnt take Jax long to get to where he was going, he kept looking back to make sure that Harlow's eyes were shut before he stopped in the driveway

"Don't open then just yet" Jax said as he helped her off the bike

"Am I at my grave site?" Harlow asked

"Nah babe" Jax said as he turned Harlow in the direction of the house hoping that she wouldnt be too mad at him for putting the large amount of cash down for this house but he also knew that she was absolutely in love with it

"Okay babe open your eyes" Jax said

Jax watched as Harlow looked at her dream house "You brought me here to stare at it? I could of done this on my walk"

"No I didn't bring you here to stare at it" Jax said as he pulled a set of keys from his pocket and dangled them

"How did you get those?" Harlow asked reaching out to grab the keys but Jax pulled them away

"Tell me how much you love me and I will tell you" Jax laughed

"Depends on what those keys are for" Harlow said

"Well? I am waiting" Jax said

"Fine, I love you so much is that enough?" Harlow asked as she rolled her eyes

"Go inside" Jax said as they walked to the front steps

Harlow looked down at the doormat and let out a small laugh
